I will most likely buy the new model when a cobra or 400 plus horsepower engine becomes a option.

I gotta tell you guys, I drove my bosses 05 gt today and it was a kick in the pants. Not only does he control my paycheck, now he can kick my *** in a race! ha ha. Of course he wasn't in the car so I was able to get on it a little bit. Very nice car, I'm still not totally sold, but the 05's are growing on me pretty fast. Can't wait to see a vert.

Yeah, some people just aren't into Verts. I didn't used to be and if I would have known the 99-04 verts weighed so much more than hard tops I probably wouldn't have got my 03. I think the 05 verts are only 100 pounds more so that's pretty cool. I guess it also depends are what part of the country you live in as well. There aren't many places like California that you can have your top down every now and again in February!

Cool def. 04

i went to buy a new car in october. i was gonna get a gto, then decided they looked stupid and plain and boring. then i went to buy a mustang, and it was about 1 week b4 the 05's hit. i said to myself "yeah, 05 mustangs are cool....40 more hp, retro look, blah blah" and then i spotted a comp orange gt sittin in the lot....i said "ill take that one for a spin" and then when i came back i said "ill be back tomorrow, heres $100 hold it and ill sign for it when i come back" everybody asks me why i didnt wait the week, and basically 99-04s are the syle i have always dreamed about. i mean yeah my mom had a 68 stang that was tight and all and she loved it, but i dont want one unless i pay about 5g for one. im sorry to all the 05 lovers out there, but the 04 is just awesome and beautiful and modern. anyways, enough of my sappy love story, i saw a red 05 gt at the dealer the other day with white rally stripes...sweeeeeet it looked tight. if u add rim upgrades, hood scoop(s) and something for the plain sides, and we might have a winner. not to mention if that engine can get up around 400 for under 30g, sweeeeeeeeeeeet. i plan on buying a new one in 2014 for the 50th anniversary...hopefully by then the kinks will be gone and the style will modernize just a little bit. i still love the 05s cause its a stang....who wouldnt.......oh yeah, but the mufflers are wayyyyy to far back, i hate it when you can see mufflers when driving behind a car. anyways....wow thats a long message, can you tell im BORED?!? peace out

The 99-04 hands down. the 05 looks like it wants to hump your legs, the 04 looks like it want to bite it off. Besides, the new mustang platform is based on the contour chassis, which is setup more for handling than dragracing, so I will keep my 02
