Default Rare Mustang

I went to a customers house today and noticed a supercharged Roush 360R when I pulled into the driveway. After finishing the job I complemented him on the nice Mustang and he offered to sell it. I asked how much he wanted for it and he wasn't quick to give a price so I figured it was out of my budget. We started talking about it and he explained that he bought it for his 20YO son that went to trucking school and is going to be on the road most of the time. So they are looking to get rid of it. After I looked it over a little he said they would probably let it go for $2500-$3000 It needs some work but it isn't trashed as far as I could tell in the short time I looked it over. It has 100k miles and started right up when I turned the Key. Needless to say I scrounging for a way to make it mine.

For those that aren't familiar with the 360R here is a brief rundown.

"Roush claims the 360R is the fastest car under $40,000. With 0-60 at 4.3 seconds and a 12.3 second quarter mile at 109 mph, I won’t argue. Of course, the $40G price tag is relative. My 360R included Roush Alcon Brakes (14-inch front/13-inch rear slotted rotors, 4 piston front calipers) with Roush 18-inch Argent wheels, an amazing short throw shifter and Roush Stage 3 Suspension that includes front and rear springs, Roush front struts, rear shocks, sway bars and lower control arms." They have 360hp and 375 ft lbs of torque. I am pretty sure the supercharger is an Eaton M90. They are quite rare with only 141 ever being made and only 80 of them were in white

(Not the exact car I'm looking at but same wheels and color)

They had to have it towed a little while back and the when it was loaded on to the flatbed the bumper bottomed out and broke a few mounting tabs. It's still on there but it seemed pretty flimsy. I'm sure it would need a new bumper. I the driver side window doesn't work but I'm not sure what parts are broken. He did say he got a quote a while back of $500 to fix it. Also his son tried to fix the window himself so he pulled the inner door panel of and now it's only hanging by a few mounting tabs. He said something about hitting a pothole and damaging either the wheel or tire, not sure which. So there is a spare on the front.

The one big concern I had was that the drivers side door didn't close smooth. He said it hadn't been in any accidents and all of the body gaps looked right so it might just be from the window not being in the track or something. I haven't had a chance to test drive it or run a carfax though.

Like I said in the OP it would need some work but it would be a weekend project car. If it doesn't have frame damage then I think it's a steal at that price.

I'll buy the brakes if you part-out.

I should have.

He ended up selling it to his lawn guy for $2000 The kicker is that guy is giving it to his 16 year old daughter for her first car. The car will more than likely be wrapped around a tree within 6 months if it hasn't been already.
