Default new rims

This is probably the wrong section on the forum, But oh well.. I'm really liking the March sell at AM for rims and tires. I want to get some 18's Black bullets with sumi tires mounted. I really would like to get a promo code but my PM's to them arent being read. I gotta get new tires before the summer anyway, and i've always wanted some black rims..

Comments or help are very welcomed...

Thanks whitestang.

Now i got another question. or an opinion from someone. I would love the combo 17x9/17x10.5. ( with the tires). But I would really like to get 18x9 all the way round.

Heck i may even splurge and go 18 DD on the back. There's too many choices aahhhhh....

In my oppinion: always stagger. Don't know how much you're willing to spend though. I have 17x9, 17x10.5 - you can't beat the old school muscle car look with wide tires. If I ever upgraded to 18's, they'd be staggered, but I would want the front rim to not have a lip, like the ones on AM do.

Keep us updated on what you go with.

I`ve staggered after reading several threads on here as I wasnt in a position to **** up and had to get it right 1st time. 18x10 and 18x9 . 295/35 rear and 255/40 front. Looks fantastic IMO. I bought mine from these guys and they were at my door in 5 days! Bear in mind I`m in Scotland so thats pretty special.

No problem bud.

I am not a huge fan of the deep dish that AM uses on their 18x9's so I would say go 17's on the front either way and then either 18x10 or 17x10.5 for the rears. My neighbor has 18's in the rear and 17's in the front and it looks pretty damn good.

I'd go with the 17's. I hate my 18's because tires are so expensive! I'd trade any day to a nice set of 17 inch bullitts with 315's.

The car and wheels look great. It's begging to be lowered though.

Thanks everyone, Opinions here always are taken seriously. I think I'm gonna go with the 17's 10.5/ 9 They also look great on most of the customer rides pics. Plus I need to think of price for next set of tires. 17's will be much better for me.. I aint getting richer for some daam reason.. Plus i'll have to lower the car to be where I want to be as far as looks..

I have 18 x 11 315s in the rear and tires get really expensive and you have less choices. I would stick with 17s if you are concerned about tire pricing.

Don't forget center caps. The ones that come with the AM wheels aren't all that great. Get GT's center caps, or black ones (cheapest option), or if you got the cash: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/LRS-1130BL-K

Black lug nuts too. (if you're going with black bullitts) imo.

I figured I'd just use my center caps from my wheels I got now.. The Pony emblem And I didn't even think about the lug nuts. I got the stock ones with the lock key. Maybe i'll just try and shine them up a bit....

Yea, I didn't realize you had the stock ones. I'm so used to my sixer, and the old 15" wheels I ditched. I'd suggest the black lugs... it's just like 20 bucks, and matches.

I bought some center caps on ebay last night. As soon as I put them in I'll give you a few pics. I have staggered black bullitts, and Ill let you see what they look like with super sports. I'm pretty sure you said that springs were your next mod?

Yea, I want to lower her, but they may not be real soon. I'm actually using money I saved since I payed car off last year.. I also got my new clutch a few months ago, so i need to lay low on spending on my so called "mistress". My wife calls her that..

Hell yea, now sell the old wheels for some extra cash, unless you plan on keeping them for the winter months.

Your thread inspired me to replace my yellowed and oxidized "SR" center caps with a new set of Ford Bullitt caps.

How much did you get them for on ebay? I got the Nittos with the wheels. I just had to replace a 315 due to a nail though $250 down the drain on one tire.

I got them for 40 bucks. They are the black ones with the running pony emblem. The ones that are normally like 20 bucks a piece. Rediculious.

They were used, but in very good condition judging from the pics and the sellers description of them.

Actually they go for closer to $100 for a set plus $10-15 for shipping. I thought I did good getting a new set for $85 shipped

Yea I know.. I meant they go for 20-25 bucks a piece individually, or all together for like 100 or more. That is way too much for center caps. lol, but I think you and I did good on em'.

Now let's find some cheap bullitt side scoops while we wait on rebel to post some wheel pics.
