I actually just picked up a set of factory Ford new old stock Bullitt scoops (deletes) for a pretty good price. Shoot me a pm if you want the info on them.

Wheels should be here anyday now.. Pics on Friday... LOL.. Lil story to go along with them too.

1. If you are married, expect to answer questions on "why do you need new rims"

I'll start with the questions and answers .

Q. Why do you want those rims for? you said they wouldn't look good unless get lower springs..
A. My wheels right now don't look good without lower springs.

Q. where are you goning to take them to have them put on?
A. They ship here I put them on..

Q. But you don't have one of those air gun thingy's
A. I don't need one, But I would love to have an impact wrench.. I got the compressor.

Q. Can you put those wheels on without one?
A. Umm yes, can you change a flat tire? Same concept.. ( silence for a few mins).

Q. Why did you get nitrogen filled tires? Isn't that dangerous?
A. No it;s inert gas just less water vapor. Oxygen is 78% nitogen.

Q. So it won't blow up if you need to patch a tire or anything?
A. Arrrg, NO... It won't fcking blow up if i need to plug it or have a patch put in.

Lol this went on for about 30 more mins, I finally changed the subject which i should have done much earlier.. My wife I gotta love her though. She's smart as a whip unless it involves anything mechanical...

I love this ^, the girl I am dating has some basic mechanic skills... the fun part with that is she wants to learn why everything. Like when we went to get oil when her car was low... why do I need those numbers? Why that one, the other is a better "deal"? Do I need synthetic?
The list goes on. I like that she wants to learn though

Makes you love them even more.. I went through similar scenario when I got My flowmasters after 1 year.

Q. Why do you need new mufflers already.
A. For the sound and better exhaust flow.

Q So your going to put on new mufflers to replace new mufflers? ( hands on hip and big look of dismay)
A. Yes, I may be able to gain some HP too..

Q. why do you need more HP? You can't drive past the speed limit around here..
A. Just in case I need it.. It's a guy thing..

Lord help me if I ever want a real power adder. It would take me 2 days to explain why 300+ hp is a good thing.. LOL.. I would say because it will make my engine burn cleaner, and I'd actually get better gas mileage cause of that... LOL..

All you need to say is that it is your hobby that helps you relax. If you are not buying and installing parts you are not enjoying your hobby therefore not relaxing. If that fails you can say Id rather be at home working on the car then out getting into trouble

I think I would have considered painting my front 2 rims black or have them pwdr coated, if it was a option and then just get the back 2 from AM...

But it will look good with your black accents you have already. I really need to find 2 new front tires for my car, getting scary with all this rain lately, but my 315's in the rear are holding up nicely!

It's really not flustrating with her. I find it kinda cute when she gets that wrinkled brow. She is genuinely concerned, and that makes me feel good. She just doesn't understand that guys need this kinda stuff. She also doesn't know if I'm on a very open straight road and no cars in sight, I will let my Mustang have at it. . Even a stock GT will get to 100+ very nice and quick with plenty of room for more...

Yeah this was a March Sell from AM.. Total package. I got all of it plus the black lugs for $1002. Thanks to the discount code I got. And it's free shipping to my door.. And like I said earlier I need new tires anyway.. I'm stoked about the 315's on the back.. Yeah Meat... I'm also gonna repaint my calipers while I got the wheels off. Gonna make a great way to spend my day off...

Sometimes I forget how big those 315's are. I just had mine off the car about an hour ago to change the center caps and was taken back for a second

I am looking forward to the pics.

Hey White,

I too have a white 2000 GT...
I never liked the wheels I have that came with the car.
I am now thinking of installing some staggared bullitts 17x9 and 17x10.5 or 18 inch setup. Can you tell me what size your wheels and tires are? What kiind of springs did you use and how much drop? I installed HR Race springs and it dropped mine front and back about 1.25 inch. I had to sacrafice less drop for added ride quality. My car handles like it is on rails and drives very smooth... Can't wait to get my new wheels. Just so many choices, I wanted to do a little research to try to get the right fit.

Thanks,
Didn't realize I would need to search.
Usually when one says they will be posting pictures within a thread, they post within the same thread... In any case, thanks for the link. The wheels look nice.
I am going with a similar wheel on mine... But going with these..
I have a white 2000 gt

I have Eibach Prokit springs right now which are close to a 2" drop. The wheels are 17x9/17x10.5 and the tires are 255-40/17 and 315-35/17. I had to slightly roll my fender to clear the 315's in the rear. It wasn't a big deal and if you only have a 1.5" drop you probably won't have to worry about it.

Nice man. I'm glad you're getting different wheels though. I haven't seen hypercoated on white though, I wonder how it would look.

Here are a few pics of what 18x9/18x10 Anthracite Bullitt's look like on white. I will see if I can find any of the hyper coated finish.

Thanks White..

Those 18s look sick... It really helps to see the wheels on a white mustang. Gives me a much better idea of how they would look on mine. I wonder how much drop is on that car.
It gets confusing cause there are so many options.. 17s, 18s, different height tires.
Like my mustang now has 1.25 drop in front and back and am running 17s with 45 series tires. There still a pretty good sized gap between fender and top of tires. I wanted to originally go with super sport springs so I could get the full 2 inch drop, but was told by many that I would regret it cause it causes such a rough ride and would bottom out a lot. I'm glad I didn't since my car rides very smooth now in fact I noticed no difference in ride roughness from stock to my new springs. The only difference is how stiff it is and takes corners like nothing.. I added the adjustable control arms in the rear where I can drop the rear down on the fly so the body is sitting on tip of the tires, but then the front is to high. I was thinking of adding some coil overs in the front so I can drop it to the ground if I want to for the low rider look then be able to adjust it back on the fly.

I have been leaning toward the American Muscle wheels cause they seem to be pretty reputable and back up their stuff. Plus they can just ship the wheels to me and I can just install them myself in the driveway and save money. Was hoping I could use my old lug nuts. I never really liked the chrome wheels that are on my car now. They were on the car when I bought it new.

you cant go wrong with AM, I ordered my last set of front tires from them...

Will really change your appearance of the car with the new rims/tires thats for sure. Boy your car sure reminds me of mine when it was "virgin" like, white is always so nice to add appearance changes to since they show so dramatically.

Have fun with it!

Thank you Krazy.
Sometimes it is hard to get your car looking the way you want it.
Especially when you buy a new car and most all your money is spent on the new car. Then you don't have a lot left over for improvements... Here my car is now 12 years old and I am still struggling to get wheels ..haha. Well at least I was able to do all my own work and installed the new springs, control arms, shocks and other suspension parts saving me a lot of money. Now If I can only decide which bullits look best, the Anthrocites or the hypercoated...haha. I always did have a hard time making decisions...

How about Black Chrome for some more decision making... I think thats the prob the biggest rim color option that has been available in some time now, I think that would look kewl.

I kinda like the Bullitt style over what I have is cause it appears to have a deeper dish than the FR500's like I have.

Oh I know what you mean by how long it takes to get stuff done, finding the finances, fitting it in with all thats taking place in life and so on... I know when I got mine, the first thing i got rid of was the euro-tail lights!

Hey Krazy...
Yeah, black chrome could be a consideration, but I am kind of liking the silver.
Initially I thought the all chrome would look good, but then I kind of thought it would be a little to much bling. I have the chrome on the car now, I like it to a point, but not my wheels. I thought the hypercoated would look sweet since they are like a lighter color of grey, but from what I am told they give you like 3-4 different looks depending on how the light hits them. Some say at night they look like black or black chrome. Then in the day they look lighter grey. I was hoping I would catch someone here that had the hypercoated deep dish bullitts to comment on them. White showed pictures of the athracites and they look pretty sick too. Those 315s really add muscle.

Hey White,
Well Here is where I am right now in my decision...
I'm still torn. You showed me the pics below that look sweet and the 18s seem to fill the space between fender well really well. Since my car only has 1.25 inch drop front then I thought maybe it would be better to go 18 wheels. The problem is that the Staggared NITTO combination that AM puts together with 18s has small tires in the front and only 275s in the rear. With the 17 combination though they provide the 275s in front with 315s in back.. Damn...decisions decisions.. Then to pick the best color bullitts...another choice.. Why is life so hard...hahah

Here is the combinations I was leaning on ...

17s…. Hypercoat PRICE WITH OPTIONS $1,304.99

· (2) 17x9 Hypercoated Bullitt Wheels
· (2) 17x10.5 Hypercoated Deep Dish Bullitt Wheels
· (2) NITTO Extreme Performance NT555 275/40-17 Tires
· (2) NITTO Extreme Performance NT555 315/35-17 Tires
· Free Mounting & Balancing
· Free optional nitrogen fill

18s Anthrocite $1,404.99</SPAN>
  • (2) 18x9 Anthracite Deep Dish Bullitt Wheels
  • (2) 18x10 Anthracite Deep Dish Bullitt Wheels
  • (2) NITTO Extreme Performance NT555 255/45-18 Tires
  • (2) NITTO Extreme Performance NT555 275/40-18 Tires
  • Free Mounting & Balancing
  • Free optional nitrogen fill
  • Fits all 1999-2004 Mustangs
$1,404.99</SPAN>

What do you think White????? what should I do
