got a question
how many of you have ever seen a Chevrolet Corsica hatchback? i own one. i NEVER see another on the road. ever. i got one for 400 bucks as a go-to-work car, and mine is very unique, i've never seen another one besides mine.

not Corsica themselves... the Corsica Hatchbacks, specifically. you almost NEVER see a Hatchback on the road. i haven't gotten any pictures because i recently got a job, and i been working like... 60 hour work weeks. the car is White... the hatch opens very quickly, and starts right up at the first turn of the key. it has just over 150,000 miles on it, and is in very good shape for being 21 years old. although, it has no power steering because either A, the high pressure hose is punctured, or the pump went out, and i gotta strong-arm it. heat/AC don't work. it was probably neglected for a couple years before i bought it, but i was told it was a grandma car, taken care of. it actually kinda shows it, the interior is in GREAT shape, except for the obligitory Headliner droop. it needs a 4 speed with overdrive, badly. 3 speeds suck.
i still have the ORIGINAL window sticker, owner's manual, and pocketbook that came with the car. the car sold for $13,500 brand new, with cruise control.

car completely died yesterday. i replaced the fuel pump, because the car would run on starting fluid, but not on it's own. the fuel pump isn't the issue. when it WOULD run, it would run with a bad miss, like a cylinder isn't firing. tapped on the fuel filter (highly rusted, probably stock from dealer, gonna change soon), didn't change anything. when we bypass the injectors with the starting fluid, it runs. so it's either the injectors themselves, the ECU that tells the injectors when to fire, or it's a clogged fuel filter.
but if it's a clogged fuel filter, how come the line has plenty of pressure when we test the schrader valve on the fuel rail? i'm just about to give up trying to fix it on my own, and shove it off to a mechanic to fix it. this running issue has been going on for 4 weeks, it just never permenently quit on me until now.
what it did before:
it would occasionally quit while driving. i put it in neutral, start it, and keep going. other times, i would drive long distance, no issue. but if i drive around town, and stop (shutting it off) 2 or more times, it would start, run for 3 seconds, and die.
what would cause this?
