Tool concert
Been gone the past week, but last Monday went to the Tool concert. Wasn't a die hard fan or anything, but my friend asked me to go so I went. I must say, they put on a damn good show. The singer is ******* weird though. The whole concert he was on the riser the drum set was on and the lights never hit him. So all you saw was his silhouette the whole time. It was funny they played for about 2 hours, but only about 10 songs. If anyone is a fan, I suggest seeing them live.

Tool is a great band with only a few great songs. Maynard is crazy, but I'm not sure what you mean by "dark." He is supposedly a devout Christian unless he's changes his mind again.

They have quite a few great songs, but I think they sometimes get lost within the random sounds and such they have between a lot of their songs. Sometimes the 2-3 minute intros for some songs do get a little tiresome. I'm pretty sure he's not a devout christian considering the song Judith by A Perfect Circle is about his mother getting cancer and her still praying to GOD and such. The song says **** your God, and pretty much says how can you still believe in god when he hasn't helped you and such. Anyways, he's just a weird and personal guy. I read that he doesn't want to be noticed when walking around with his son. The whole concert you never saw him except for in the dark and then when he ran across the stage at the end of the show. He owns a winery in Arizona.

I used to be a diehard Tool fan until Lateralus came out. Lateralus and 10,000 Days ******* sucked.
I feel like they try too hard to be "deep" and "different". I can find more rhythm in the thump of a good set of cams than I can in their music. Although I think they are all exceptional musicians, their music just doesn't appeal to me anymore.
Edit: And I had been listening to Tool since I was 11.
