Can anyone tell me if Ford used a different plug type for the Cobras? Will my HID bulb lock into the sockets for an Termi bumper? If they did use different plugs, then what's the work around on it? How would I make it work?


I'm considering buying that bumper off ebay and it just got me thinking. Wish I would have started thinking SOONER cause I wouldn't have got new fog lights 2 weeks ago. Lol

 

The plugs are different. You just need to splice the cobra ones into your existing ones. Shouldn't be hard.

 

Mmmmkay. . . . . How do I find just a cobra type plug? Am I gonna have to buy a whole wire kit and cut the plugs off it? This seems very odd to me

 

You can buy the appropriate plug off of ebay.

 

Why does it seem odd? They are two different cars and different foglights. You can get the adapters from Ford or Ebay like Pee said and you just splice them in. Not much to it.

 

I would buy a adaptor kit so its a bit cleaner...

 

Here's the part #1u2z14s411bca from Ford for the wire kit I used. This was recommended by Randy when he was on here. It's like $25 or if you go through Tousley Ford, it's like $18.

 

If you have an aftermarket HID kit from what I see online the Bulb the Cobra uses is the same as a GT. So the bulb will work with that housing. The GT and Cobra both use 880 style fog lights. Just different connectors.
