Default which car is better?

Is a 2003 SVT Cobra a better car than a 2008 bullitt? Like which has the better horse power and overall better handling when it is stock. also which one is better for mods if there is any difference. the reason I ask is because I am thinking about getting one for a graduation present from college from my parents. So I was just wondering what everyones' opinions are?

I've driven an '08 Bullitt and it definitely had a little more oomph than my 2000 but personally I would be all over an '03/'04 Cobra... mmm.

I'm thinking the 03 cobra was the most powerful mustang from the factory until one of the new shelby's. I want 2 say it was the 2010, but not 4 sure. I would take either 1.

You're going to spend $25,000 on an 8 year old car! I think people are forget how old Terminator's are

Go order a new 2011 for a little bit more.

If you really want a 03/04 Cobra go find one around $18,000 or even less these days with a little bit more miles.

If you really need to ask, then you probably don't need either of them.

Anyway. I would go with a Terminator all day over just about any S197, the drive by wire system sucks in the 05+ cars..

I have a 05+ car and I'm about 95% positive I would go with the cobra. The only draw back to that is that I wouldn't want to drive it everyday. I would have to have another car. If it had to be a daily driver I would probably go for the Bullitt.

Damn. You're parents cant just say "Good job. Now you'll be able to start a career and buy whatever you want." ? Only reason I got my mustang is because my mom got a caddy. And its a v6.

I cant wait until I finally become a famous rockstar.....gosh.

Blue Book price on a 03 Cobra in excellent cond, with 25K miles, from a random zip code is way less than 20 grand. But I'd still love to have one..

yea my parents had bought my sister a 2007 mustang GT for her graduation present and they want to buy me a new car and I was just thinking another mustang would be cool since I already have a V6. and it would probably not be my DD. I would use my V6 for that.

Cobra all the way, just maybe not THAT one. They have come down a lot since a year or two ago. 20k would be more reasonable a price for a cobra now.

You can find one with a little more miles for a lot cheaper. However with the Terminators you are probably going to have to drive a good bit to get that good deal.

Get them to drop the price on the cobra. I'm not a fan of s197's.. With that cobra you'll be smoking gt500's. I don't know about 2011 gt500s, but I know it could get the earlier years with 500 some hp.

It's definitely a car I wouldn't drive every day, which you could the bullitt.

I personally thing the convertibles a plus, especially if the cars a six speed.

I couldn't imagine going thru my town in a car like that. I'd just be jizzing out the windows on everyone.

But go with your instinct.

HAHA

as far as bang for your buck goes yes the 03/04 cobras will dominate but stock for stock the older cobra will only just be neck and neck with a gt500

you seem not to know alot about mustangs

You're just figuring this out? I'm not being an ***, the kid means well, but his mis-information is beyond anything that I've seen on this forum before.

Doesn't matter which one you get. Either one will be a panty dropper. The Cobra will just be faster.

Edit: If men's cars are panty droppers, does that mean mine is a boxer dropper?

nah, yours would be a tent pitcher, lol.

03/04 cobra all the way over the 08 bullitt.
It has more hp, will respond mildly better to mods, and can makes more hp with ease than a bullitt. An exhaust, intake, tune, and pulley swap and you will see 450+rwhp. The bullitt you will need to buy some sort of FI or Nitrous to get near those numbers.

Thank goodness that your the only one that's not, how else will panties be dropped.

I'd go for a Cobra over a '08 bullitt, if the price was right, but 25K isn't right. I also don't like convertables.

For the record, I wear boxer-briefs. Boxers just dont give my the support I need. Feel like Im wearing a skirt under my pants.

I can't wear boxers either. My junk would be flopping around too much. And I hate sitting on my nuts the wrong way.

And as far as getting panties to drop. I just use good old charm and eagerness to satisfy. But only with my wife of course..

I love the 03/04 Cobra's, but for that kind of money I would also go order a 2011 stang with 400+hp.

one thing though I don't want to order a car just doesn't appeal to me I want to be able to see it and drive it before I pay for it. Plus I want to know that it actually runs good and there are no little things that I will have to fix. I know it would be a new car but there is no telling what kind of little "bugs" it would have so ill stick with the Cobra and use my sixer as a DD.

well the bullitt is out I don't like the look of the newer model inside so I am going to stay with 99-03 models and I am going with the Cobra just can't wait for the parents to dish out the cash to get it.
