Default Brake Installation on the GT

I swear a good friend of mine and I replaced the brakes on the GT last night, man it was a real PITA, the front was easy, and then we got to the back and dang that was a royal you know what.

I did the rent to own tool thing from AutoZone for the rear calipers, and that helped! But sure is a real byotch! to get the new pads in there and have the shims stay on them at the same time!

I swear, I thought my buddy was about to kill me for helping take on this job, we will have to do my Spark Plugs at another time, I cant believe all the crap you have to remove just to get down to replace the plugs... I like the older days of cars and you could access everything right there!

to do the plugs all you need to remove are the COPs and intake pipe. I have heard of people having to remove fuel rails but thats not necessary.

Rear brake pads are a PITA. V6/GT front brakes arn't just a piece of cake either. But Cobra/Mach/Bullitt front brakes are so simple. All you need is a 6" C-clamp and a flathead screwdriver (no even that if you use a hitch clip rather than the E-clip pin). I want to know if there is a better that to disconnect the emergency brake cable from the rear calipers.

Once you do the plugs once you can do them in around 30mins time. I have done it so much I can do it in around 20-25mins.
