I didn't really want a 45. .40 is a nice caliber so I just decided to go with that. Thinking about getting a 9mm Springfield XD next...

Cuz when i was 18, me and a buddy of mine decided it would be a great idea to jump on a track hoe where they were building a Lowe's at, and tore up a buncha ****... dug really big holes in the final graded pad that they were ready to start pouring the slab on, ran over and crushed a portable light tower, pushed a D8 high track over on its roof, pushed two pan graders over on their sides, took down a few telephone poles, power lines, and some trees and when we finally got caught we were in the woods behind the job site with the boom stretched out swinging it and hitting the base of a billboard tryin to knock it down. In the state of Georgia, property damage in excess of $5,000 is a 2nd degree felony

That's funny to read, but you were 18 and an adult, and that was a super ******* stupid thing to do. But I'm sure you know that now and tired of hearing it, but damn, wtf did you think was going to happen? When I was about 16, there were some things I thought I could get away with. I could have got taged with a misdemenor and a felony. At 18, I would have never thought of doing that much damage and expected to stay out of prison. **** damn Crash, LOL.

Anyway, I want a Glock. I'd be happy with any of the popular .40 Cals out now though. Between me and my Dad, we have probably 50 guns, but maybe 5 are hand guns and maybe two or three of thoes are bigger than 9mm. We got a 9mm S&W, and a 375 revolver that I can think of. The rest are .22s for plinking.

The only problem is buying one takes away from buying car parts, and I don't really go shooting/hunting much. I know if I had one I'd go shooting more, and I want a permit to carry. It's just a matter of time before I get one.

My friends and I have a couple of rules we follow when participating in illegal activities. One rule is; Never do the same illegal act two days in a row. Another rule is; If your not caught in three days there is a good chance you got away with it. Following thoes rules we got away with some stuff. When we didn't follow thoes rules we meet some officers that were having a good day. We were lucky.

Nice pick up man. I am more into Sigs than glocks but I know they are great guns. I just went two weeks ago and took the course for my CCW permit and have an apt. on Feb 2nd to get it.

Yea I know what you mean. I'm trying to get BBK Longtubes now and that took from that fund but I guess with my income tax this year I will just get longtubes and a short throw.

Sigs are a little out of my price range. This was a great deal though. The gun shop that I went to had a great discount going for military and police personnel so I had to take it. I'm going to get my CCW with this gun hopefully in the next month or so.

I got the G20 so I wouldn't have to choose between a 40S&W, 10mm, .357sig and a handful of wildcats. I have barrels for those 3 and a couple of the wildcats. No changing mags, no changing springs, just pop a new barrel in and it's a different cal gun. Thinking about picking up a .22 conversion for it next. I have most all the other glocks too but I've really come to like the 20.

Think about this... you can neck a 10mm auto case down to 7.62mm and stick a 85gr HP bullet for a 7.62 Tokarev round in it and it comes out of a 5" barrel doing around 2100fps in a mellow (if loud) load. You can shoot squirrels 150yrds away with a glock or completely devastate a bad guy. EDIT: a spicy .357 sig load makes 400lbs of energy. This load makes right about 800 and has very low recoil).

My uncle had the same model about eight years ago and gave it to his dad. It's a nail driver as far as accuracy but his ejected the casings straight back so they would brush through your hair or hit your forehead. That's why he gave it away.

I wasn't fond of Glocks before but it changed my mind about them.

In the spirit of these forums....

You need to put Trijicon sights on it, lessen the trigger pull pressure, and get an extended mag release...

The sights are going on soon. I'm not really worried about the trigger pull because its not a problem neither is the mag release. I like everything about the gun except the sights.
