Default My cars tune problem

First off, today everyone that I talked to at the track has given me some kind of negative input about the shop that tuned my car. Hopefully my experience will be different.

I had my car dynoed last month and tuned with a SCT flip chip. I was charged 700 dollars! I was told it would be around the 500-600 range. The dude that tuned my car took his sweet *** time and had lunch on MY DOLLAR. When my car was finally done at 4 pm I left the shop and had to go straight to class. On my way my car stalled about 5-6 times. I still have a stalling issue but I had to wait till my rear-end was rebuilt and broken in.

Now, the rear end is good but the friggin shop put in longer studs but are still too short for me to run the weld rims I have. More time that I have to spend to fix someone elses short falls. Next thing I need to do is burn a day of leave so this other shop can fix my cars current issues.

I was assured that all adjustments in the tune will be free...lets see how true these words are.

My AODE needs tuning bad. my converter is unlocking in 2nd gear and is making my car short shift into 3rd. the 1-2 and 2-3 shift needs to be commanded to shift at a lower rpm. The converter needs to be commanded to lock up at a lower RPM in both 2nd and 3rd gear. My part throttle shifting needs work too...my ******* car hangs in 2nd gear at 25 mph and wont shift till it hits 30 mph.

I should of swapped in a manual when I blew the stock transmission I swear!

On a bright side I ran a 12.1 on this jacked up tune at 115 but then the transmission started to act up.

AODE or 4r70? The shift points and everything can be cleared up with the tune. Not saying that its the issue though.

As far as the flip chip **** goes..why didn't you just go with a SCT Xcal and have it tuned that way?

I dont make adjustments to my tune when I run my car so the extra cost wasnt worth it. I got tired of waiting for EMAIL fixes to tunes. I wasted so much time datalogging and getting **** that didnt work for me. This is why I went with a chip because now I can just go to the tuner leave my car and they can work the **** out. I just didnt like the fact that the ******* chip was 300 and 400 for dyno time.

I have AODE gearing in my 4R70W. They are essentially the same transmission.

My car shifted perfectly fine in my Modular Power House tune but 3rd gear converter lockup was the issue. Now I have nothing but transmission problems. The problem is all in the tune and hopefully this shop doesnt try to dick me over.

Oh, I should probably add that I ONCE owned a x-cal 2 but lost it when I moved to Arizona from Germany. My friends couldnt find it so I was SOL. I than purchased a used one from Ebay and got fucked over. The idiot buyer, me, didnt plug it into my computer and checked its configuration against Live Load program. I had 7 days to return but let it sit for a few months. I paid 180 for it...gonna cost 150 for SCT to unlock it. Believe it or not it is cheaper to buy a tuner and get dyno time from the dyno shops here in arizona.

Sounds about right. The only reason why I actually liked the handheld was simply if the car threw a code. Other then that, everything went to a tuner and I had them correct it. It almost sounds like you've got a fucked solenoid on the valvebody causing the converter to screw up. (This was an issue for mine) do you have a aftermarket converter?
