Default My turn!! No more pony!

Gas was just getting too expensive for my budget, and my parents wanted to get me my graduation present, so we traded my mustang for a new car!

I got a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid with 11,700 miles! It's the same beautiful mineral color as my mustang. I'm sure hoping that it will last me a long time and save me a lot of money. The car is EPA rated at 49 city / 51 highway mpgs. I'll miss uploading pics of my pony.

I bet it isn't nearly as nice looking though... Gas is the ultimate muscle car killer.

His car was a v6 but still looks would have to have come into play for me. Now If it was a new hybrid Camry I would have done it in a heart beat. Idk I Kinda want a mid size car and just keep a project on the side but I would get rid of my car for a new camry, maxima, fusion, or accord any day.

Well, the new fusion was WAY out of my price range. My V6 was worth about 5k, so he gave me 6k trade in. The car is the newest body style civic, it's just the second year of the new body. I love it so far. My girlfriend has an 07 gas 4cyl civic so I knew that I would like how they drive. This car will save me almost a thousand dollars a year in gas!

I cant stand the dash size on those newer civics (you could land a small aircraft on it). Just seems like so much wasted space. Also, the car has quarter windows...like on old pickup trucks... but on the civic, you cant open them.

but, they are great cars none the less. I mean, its a Honda. when you dont need performance, a Honda is a great option. And the hybrid is neat... not many on the road around here at least.

But hey! 45+ MPG and 11,000 miles for 11k is not bad. My gf has a civic, and we're planning on getting married (proposing in two weeks!). She'll feel comfortable in the civic if she had to drive it, and I'm used to how they drive. I love the Hybrid so far.

I thought the same, but then again I wasn't sure how much I should get. I just know it's better then my SUV by far and better then my Mustang.
Maybe I need a tune up or something.

and I believe mine was a 700CC or something, but was to high for it's class. They had to reduce it or something. I think that was for only what, two years or something? I may be wrong, I don't exactly remember.

Eh. I wouldn't get a honda but i wouldn't mind getting rid of the mustang either. Its just too much work to find a buyer at the moment, im way too busy. I'll be upgrading soon enough. It won't be an american car, probably Italian. :-P

Congrats on your hopeful engagement. Sorry about your miserable downgrade in transportation. With so many alternatives out there you chose a Civic? Seriously?..

Hope your 'Stang goes to a good home.

^ If you can waste $1000 dollars that's just fine. I'm happy for people like you.

First of all, I dont understand how you cant afford the gas for a v6 mustang...Right now Im not making **** for a paycheck. I only work 6 hours for two nights a week, and I can still afford gas just fine. I dont see how it can get so bad that you need a Hybrid Civic.

Now second, my girlfried just got a 2010 Civic Sedan, and all I can say is....AWFUL car. Its uncomfortable, the seats are way too ******* stiff, the car is as slow as a corpse, I hate digital spedometers, and the only thing power operated in her car is the ******* windows. No cruise control, no power seats, crap sound system, and that huge ******* window and dash make me feel like Im in a miniature bus. All in all its just a terrible car for anyone above 5'5 and 130 pounds. Haha. Didnt mean to turn that into a rant but I really hate the new civics.
