I guess the fit and finish has drasticly improved since my 2002. Cause the F&F of my car SUCKS ***. I close the door to my car and the damn thing sounds like its gonna rattle apart. I noticed this too on a 2009 Shelby GT500 a few months back. Though engine reliabillity. . . I cant complain at all there. . . .

That's exactly why there is nothing but the Ford family in my household now!

My 04 Stang is the only Ford I have ever owned. I used to be a GM only driver since my 1st car, a 68 GTO. 2nd car, a 69 Camaro. 3rd car, a 75 Nova. 4th car ( my first new car), a 79 Z-28. I drove my Z for 10 years and hated to get rid of her. Then I got a 77 Monte Carlo. Then a 79 Malibu station wagon, LOL at that. Then I got married and got a 88 GMC Sierra.( great truck) drove her till 2004, and Got my Mustang.. So far my stang has been the best car yet. Not the fastest, (my 68 GTO was a beast) as was my Z-28 after cams, heads and headers. But even when I can't find time to clean her up she still shines like new. And no rattles or other issues. I'm very pleased. My Mustang is surpassing any other Car I've ever owned..

interior build quality on a 98 mustang is bad. just look at the crap interoir and the condition of my transmission.

other than that, ford is cool. my dad owned a '82 ford van that lasted forever.

If properly cared for all cars can be very well lasting, its the idiots that drive stupid, dont clean their cars, and dont care about scratches are what kill cars.
