They had their new spyware and anti virus come out recently and I tried it out and its a major resource hog. Screw those programs go get yourself something better and not slow your machine down.

 

Actually from what I'm noticing, it's extremely lightweight as far as resource usage goes. Mine's only using 35MB of ram and the CPU usage reads 00% even though real time protection is enabled.

 

I run AVG for my virus protection. So far i have never had a virus except the time where my wife downloaded the trojan for "Personal Anti Virus". that was a headache to get rid of.

Mcaffee, Norton, Windows antivirus, i dont like any of them. AVG for the win!

 

Its not the CPU usage though I do see it use that sometimes, its the ram that it destroys on my PC's.

That's odd, cause every review I've read of it says that it uses under 100MB of RAM. On mine it's only using 35MB.

 

Yup.. AVG here as well . The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it seems to update every ten seconds. I suppose that's actually a good thing though, since it is always up to date.
