Default Prayers for one of my racer friends...

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/vide...260/index.html

My friend, and local racer, Richard "The Rock" Burton was struck by lightning on Wednesday night while riding a bicycle to the scene of an accident where he intended on offering civilian assistance. It's ironic that he was injured on the way to help someone, but that's just the way it goes sometimes...Anyway, he is a father, grandfather, husband and friend -- one who could use some serious prayers right now. The last update I heard was that he was on a ventilator, still listed in critical condition. Will update if I hear more.

That really sucks man. Sounds like he was a really nice guy. Any other links to the video? That one seems to freeze my computer. Hopefully he will stable out, did he get burnt from it too?

Yeah, since that is what lightning does. The bolt entered his head and exited his chest.

Latest update from his family is that he is off of the ventilator and he had a brain scan lastnight that seems to have come out just fine. He's still not out of the woods yet by any means, but things are looking up.

Thanks all for the prayers, keep 'em coming!

UPDATE: He is at the point now where he can wiggle his toes and stick his tongue out on command and appears to still be able to comprehend speech, but cannot talk. He eats through a tube now too, but is doing much better than anyone thought he'd be doing this early after the accident.
