Well, since I'm laid up for a little while, what are some good 360 first person shooter games?

I already played CoD 4 World at War and beat it...sigh..only took a day too..

Right now I'm playing Soldier of Fortune "Payback" or someshit, and I'm really not liking it too much..

Anyone got a good FPS game for 360?

Or how about an all around good game? Not much into the sports games... some racing games aren't too bad..

 

I suggest you check some review sites like IGN, etc. Everyone's opinions about games are different, so you'll probably get 50 different responses here. If you go to a site, at least you can browse through and find games that might interest you.

 

i almost picked up fallout 3 yesterday...thats a RPG though.

gears of war 2 isnt too bad but you have to like that style of a first person shooter.

i just started playing COD 4 modern warfare again but this time im taking it down on veteran almost done and i only been at it for maybe 3-4 hours total. i dont have highspeed internet so i cant play "live" at the moment.

 

i prefer third-person shooter and action games. gears of war, the new batman game, resident evil 5.

you could sign up for gamefly, and get games delivered to you house. that way if you don't like a game you can send it right back, or if you really like it you keep it as long as you want.

 

Fallout 3 is very awesome. It's an RPG but at the same time it's more of a first person shooter.

 

Fallout is badass.

 

Halo 3 and the EA Skate games. those 3 games are the only reason I got a 360

 

buy the orange box, cant beat it, 5 of the best games Valve makes on 1 disk. Half Life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2 for multiplayer.

 

Gears of War 2, COD MW if you don't already have it or played it, Halo 3 isn't bad, Battlefield Bad Company is pretty fun, Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six are always good FPS as well.

 

Do you ever play World at War online? I never did until about 6 months ago and I can't stop. Since the last update they have co-op missions where you can play through the missions with a few other people and if one person dies then the level starts over......You can revive each other as well. Pretty sweet

im not into third person shooters but gears of war 1 and 2 are bad ***! pretty interesting story also

 

Isn't GoW gory like crazy? don't get me wrong i like me some blood and guts..but not overly bloody and stuff..

 

GoW isn't overly bloody. The most gorey game I've ever played was Resistance 2 for PS3. Every enemy in that game has it's own internal organs, skeleton, etc. You can slice someone up with this razor blade gun and the things body parts will be dripping off the ceiling and walls, body parts with broken bones sticking out of them everywhere. It's sick lol.
Get the new Batman game, it's hot.

 

fallout 3 will suck you in and take your life!!!!

 

i wasn't a big fan of fallout 3 took too long to pick up for me...but for racing games grid is by far teh best one i've played

 

id go with fallout 3,, that will keep you occupied exploring and killing and leveling for days and days.. and if the RPG aspect of the game draws you in, im sure ud love fable 2 afterwards, but its not a FPS.

I'm done playing SoF... that game was terrible... I remember years ago when SoF was good..this game sucked royally though.

And the new Batman game is really fun. I just played it at my friends place last night for like 2 hours. Its really good and lets you fight,solve problems,and use cool gagets. I really liked it.

geez...fable 2 consumed a couple of my buddies for weeks and weeks. since my pay just got cut about a grand a month maybe i should pick it up and save some cash.

 

Yeah the new Soldier of Fortune sucks ***. All it is, is shooting enemies arms and **** off. Call of Duty Modern Warfare is definitely sweet especially if you haven't played it yet. The new one comes out in Nov. and will be awesome. GoW can be gory, but the blood is kinda cartoonish. It's pretty sweet splattering some dude into pieces with the shotgun.

^^ You mean GRAW2? Isnt that an oldish game? And yeah i played fallout, liked it but is kinda like oblivion. COD4 is a really good FPS along with Rainbow Six Vegas 1, and 2. Vegas 1 campaign was ok, 2 better, though 1 had such awesome live....Gears are kinda gory but are actually pretty fun. Left 4 dead is a fun zombie killer although i got bored over time because its repetetive. Grid i have heard is one of the best racing games from a few people. If you dont have "live", theres always Assassins Creed, Mass Effect, and Bioshock. All very good games offline, and all sold very well.

I called in sick to work to keep playing. It's really addicting. You get more mutations by killing military personnel OR infected, you get points for killing civies too but not as much. (you only get in trouble for killing military personnel )

Run around with your claws slashing **** up
Hijack tanks and blow **** up
hijack choppers and ... blow more **** up


If you played Assassins Creed the players movement is very similar. If I had to describe the game in a few words: cross between Assassins Creed and Resident Evil

but still surprisingly original, pretty nice story line. Find out who you are by killing everyone who knows anything about what happened to you
