Got a new project car!
So I haven't been on here too much latley been busy with work, a new puppy, life in general and now a few days ago I got a new project car. I have been looking for a car for the last few weeks to fill my import void in my life, mainly another 240sx but I found something i couldn't pass up. I scored a hell of a deal on a 91 Eagle Talon Tsi. It needs lots of tlc but the potential is there. The interior is mint but the body needs some work here and here but the motor seems solid but its not building boost right. It builds boost when it feels like it and it stalls when ever you put the car in neutral because the bov was venting instead of recirculating. The struts are blown, it has a leaky caliper, and a leaking slave cylinder. But the car has massive potential to be a beast. I know the flaming is about to come but for now the mustang is gonna be on the back burner and for now the talons chilling in the garage getting rebuilt and will be eventually turned into my daily and the mustang will be once again parked, nice and cozy in the garage. The plus is that the miles will be kept of the stang and possible cam swap may be in order. I'll post some pics of it soon.
FLAME ON!!

They have a good engine and can be made really damn fast. That engine can hold just as much power with the stock internals as a 99-04 4.6 mustang.
Doesn't the BOV usually vent to the atmosphere on a turbo car?

I vote do the Cam swap first. Get a nice nitrous grind that comp cams makes and you will make some sweet power. Cause Sean is coming for you with the nitrous long tube header v6 power car. He is getting his car tuned on Saturday we will be sure to get some pics and videos of it making some pulls.

After thinking about it long and hard you decided you just had to be on the top 10 douchebag cars list. We will have to take a vote to see if the Talon is closely related enough to the Eclipse to see if you made it or not. In the tragic event that you don't make it this year we will be sure to vote you in next year with the hope that you make it above the number 8 spot
JK. I almost bought a 98' Talon a while back but they wanted too much for it. Those little ******* will scream if you put the money in to them. For the love of god please get a cam for the 6 before doing anything to the Talon though.

diamond star motors?
REALLY? BAHA.
that car is going to fall apart on you while you drive down the road. you SHOULD have picked up a Gen 3 Toyota Supra, 1984 ish. or a 1981 CelicaSupra. those cars are good to have. the motors are bulletproof, and they look good.

i thought about the cam swap first but eh...i'm just tired of using the stang as my daily. I'm racking up the miles on it. I mean it has 20k on it now lol.
the dsm will be at the next meet!!

Really, you have experience with them falling apart? 80s supras are ugly as ****. Too bad the 4G63 engine is a great engine. Stock for stock, it'll take down your car.

everyone has their own opinions, i just happen to think the 80's supras look good.

I think you should stick with bringing your mustang to the mustang meets lol

From what ive heard eagle talons are poorly made, and end up costing more in maintenance and repairs from minor issues, and you spend more on that then the price of the car. (From what ive heard)

some do some don't. Some use an antmospheric bov which vents out to the atmosphere lol some recurcilate back into the intake because the air was already accounted for from the maf so it can't be just vented out.

It beat stephen from a 55 roll. Not by much, maybe half a car but still won.

**** a talon.
Ive had 2 friends that had talons...one a 92 or something, the other 98..?
Anyhow, their cars gave them a ton a problems. And neither are running anymore....of course..they werent tsi's, but still. A dsm motor is a dsm motor.

I have seen a few that looked really good. But for some reason I seem to really like a lot of the 80's cars. I am a big Fox body fan and love the SVO which most think is ugly as sin.
