So last week was a co-worker of mines last week with the hospital cause he found a different job we haven't got anyone new yet. He was part time so me covering for him was no huge deal a few extra hours for me right.

So over the weekend the other person I work with had a death in the family and now she is gone till tuesday next week and she was full time now I am the only one left we have no backup so I'm stuck working 2 full time postions plus a bit 17-18 hour work days plus some on saturday or sunday till tuesday then back to 9 hour work days.

my paycheck with make this all better but right now I want to kill myself

Same here. Has been a pretty damn busy week so far, it hasn't been bad though and won't be as long as I get at least 6 hours of sleep.

 

I think my blood pressure is way up this week.. Really feelin' stressed out, I've been on the edge of ripping somone's head off all week and it's only Wed....

I don't know what's going on, but I absolutely can not wait until next Friday.. Vacation begins... Only been waiting for 3 1/2 years for that day to finally come.

 

I am at work as well...... trying to find a good place to go to lunch.

Just got my Airline tickets for Vegas! will be there August 28 through Sept. 1st. So my week has been good so far.

Over time Checks are the bomb.... to bad i cant get one now. I am on salary so no more time and a half.....

 

This paycheck will totally pay off the cruise my wife and I are going on Jan. 2 and let me make a couple extra car payments and if there is extra it may go into the n2o fund lol

 

Awesome! n2o! Where are you guys going on the cruise? I know my rents to one to alaska and some plac eup there. they had a great time. Jan would probably be to cold for Alaska though.

I went on that exact same cruise two years ago. Stay in Progresso and go to the beach, and don't go snorkling in Cozumel. Also, sneak in your own alcohol.

 

I've gone to the same places before too and I know the water bottle vodka trick

I'm pretty sure that progresso has corona beach where corona is like a buck a bottle I may drop a few lincolns lol

 

YES, Corona beach is the place to go. My parents wanted to walk around the damn town and ride a bus to the next town over, dumb.

 

The best thing about corona beach (last time I was there) is that you can get the regular beer for 1$ or a 40 for 2$ when we were there my brother had the equivilant or 14 coronas in like 2.5 hours.......

i work part time so i was only getting 17-18hrs /week. the past like 3 weeks i have been picking up shifts like no other and averaged about 28.666 hrs for the last 4 weeks.....i know not over time but that is a lot of hours for where i work for part time.

 

Today was actually my last day of work for summer, I am moving back to college here on sunday, so yeah to a few days off. Been working full time all summer, the pay checks rocked though compared to during school paychecks.

 

I didnt understand much of that cept that somebody died and somebody else is off work so he gets to work overtime.

I love overtime myself but the casino industry dont like to pay me almost 35 an hour so I dont get much. Hell I only get like 20 hours of OT a year. It sucks but I take it every time I can. hehe

 

I couldn't get any over time even if I wanted it right now. Things r slow and the company got rid of a **** load of people and one of r stores out right. On top of that I've been working the last two months for less money on the hour. They cut every one's pay 10%, so I make like a dollar less per hour. As u can take it then my work sucks!

 

I don't get any over time where I'm at. They've got me limited to around 32 hours a week. Last summer I was working 52 hour weeks but it was at two different places so still no over time. I started working the day after the last semester ended and will stop the day before the next semester starts. I took two days off.

 

For the last 2 summers I've been on a 7 day work week except for vacation I take in July. There are only 3 of us who can run the show in my dept. so we work things out when we take vacation. This year, I took my week of July 20th, and came back on Monday 27th. Things slowed down so my manager made all of us take a 4 day weekend. Came back Monday and worked 48 hours, Now we are officially on 40 hr week. No overtime unless approved by the plant manager. I am finally getting some time to have a life outside of work. If only the weekends, but when you work 7 days a week for 2 whole summers, any time off is a blessing.. I can live on 5 days a week. and with 21 vacation days a year, I'm ok.. my tan is getting great this year..
