That's pretty sweet. I wonder how it does during high winds though.
That looks cool but I would be a little nervous to drive under it.
those are all over the place in private lots here in chicago. i hate driving under them, as soon as theyre high enough to get under them i go under as fast as possible.
They're all over here too. Mostly at storage areas.
Seems less efficient energy wise than a simple sliding gate...?
Reminds me of those blocks in Super Mario that go up slow but as soon as you run under they come flying down.
Well someone installed something wrong!
I've never seen that before. But then again, I do live in the asscrack of Florida.
I'd think it'd be a hell of a lot easier on the motor to just do it the traditional way. I'd hate to be the owner of the car that it decides to break down on. Both literally and figuratively.
Neat. We dont have those over here in the sticks.
They have these at storage areas in my town.
There is a big counter weight on the right side that makes the gate balanced, so it kinda floats and there isn't much weight put on the motor that lifts the gate. Even if it did fall on a car, it wouldn't be too heavy, just enough to piss you off. |
