Default Saw A Little Blurb About The 2011 GT's

Going to a 5.0L engine, with HP and Torque well over 400 each. Matted to a 6spd manual trans.

Old news. I believe that was a 4V though. Doubt the GT will get a 4V, but hopfully it will have close to that power.

Not sure about it being for 4v or not, or if GT's are getting 4v. This did specificaly state it was for GT's though. But like I said, it was quite literally a blurb. Three sentences at most.

I heard that they were going to 4v for 2011 GTs. Not sure where I read that, I think if was leftlanenews.com, but I'm not positive. But I also read that the 2011 V6s are going to have an option to be twin turbo'd and get like 390hp

That would be cool, but kinda dumb to be just as fast as the GT. Yet again though, I'll believe it once the final numbers are actually out.

There have been other posts other than this as well. A couple of engineers came through my dad's plant and were talking about in a couple of months they're suppose to start running prototypes through the assembly lines.

The whole 5.0L GT and Twin-Turbo V6 thing has been released for a while now. Even before the 2010 came out it was being spread around the Blue Circle magazine. You better believe it.

Funny thing is, both are rumored to be cheaper than the GT and Sixxers now and are suppose to both get better gas mileage due to EcoBoost with the V6 and better flowing intake/exhaust with the 5.0.

Actually, the twin turbo 6 is supposed to be the premium engine.

It goes na v6 > na v8 > TT v6

I believe they are coming out, but I'll wait to it's actually produced and in the GT to see what the final numbers will be. I'll believe the price when I see it too. Not knocking any of your info. or anything, hell I would love a cheaper GT, but we'll see when it comes time to be released. Of course then you get all the stupid dealer markup bullshit.

gotcha, but I believe you meant to put NA V6 < NA V8 < TT V6

No, I understand what you're saying. And I agree with you completely. The mark-up on the 5.0's will probably make it the same price. Because they know people will be flocking to them because of the bigger motor now. Maybe the recession will still be underway and they'll keep the price low. Who knows.

I think the 2011s will have an SC option on them too...so if that's the case, it'll go NA V6 < NA V8 < TT V6 < SC V8

Correct, but without getting into SVTs and such, there was supposedly going to be an SC option on the 2010's even.

That's exactly right. So as like now the Base GT and Premium GT have no differences other than interior. Whereas for the 2011 there'll be a N/A and a SC Version which is suppose to use a small roots style similar to the Roush.

Then the GT500's are suppose to still be SC 4v 5.4's with around 600hp.

There have also been reports that the GT's might carry a 4v as well. Leaving the 3v to the grave. THAT would definitely be amazing. Like a Mach 1, but better because it's a 5.0 too.

Of course half of this will never make it to showroom floors, but we can dream.

They should just do the 4V in the GT. I mean if they already did a NA 4V for the Mach and 99/01 Cobra, just do it for the new GT. It would make a lot of people happy and be a badass car. But like you said, we can dream.
