As some of you maay remember things were pretty rocky with Logan when he was born, for those who werent here back then, he had a bad mytral valve in his heart and several times we almost lost him. He had open heart surgery when he was 3 months old to replace the valve with a mechanical one.

He turned 2 today and he is going strong, so far all the caridiologist appointments have had good news

Once again, thank you everybody for your support during that time!

His birthday is today but his party is this weekend, but we went ahead and gave him a big present today. its a battery powered ATV. lol. He loves it!

Lol... that kid is such a nut. Earlier today my wife gave him a pear to eat. He took it, and i found him a while later with the Stem and top 1/2 inch of the pear. He ate the entire core and bottom end.

Yep, you had some rought times with that young-un, I remember posting that before you know it he will be just a regular kid playing ball and stuff. Glad he weathered the storm as good as he did.. Bet that makes you feel even more of a proud father. Most of us take for granted that our children will be healthy throughout life, but when you start out like Logan did, geez that had to be hard on you and your whole family. Cudo's to ya Bro. You can't ever give up hope that your child will be OK..

I wasn't here then either, but it is glad to hear that your son is doing well. My grand-daughter has one of those ATV's. She picked it out and said no to the pink Barby one. She had to have the blue one. Now she wants to upgrade to the red mustang or the blue f-150 that they have for sale at Walmart. Kids are crazy, you are right. I forget the name of the comic that said it, but here is his quote: "God made kids so damn cute for the survival of our species. If hey weren't so adorable and made us love them so whole heartedly, you'd strangle the little punks." Now you really have to watch what you say, or you will be hearing it all the time. My grandson now says "quitcher Bitchin" whenever his sister cries.

 

Congrats man. Glad to see he is doing really well. Of course now you have the terrible 2s to deal with. haha.

 

He's so cute! My god, look at those huge eyes! I wasn't around when this happened, but I'm glad Logan made it through. Happy birthday to him, and may there be many, many more.
