hmmm.........interesting. Those dudes are always dreaming up something to do with the shaker. I had a 3/4" shaker extension on my mach and dudes would try to tell people it improved power, but really it was for looks.
The designer of the mach 1, Scott Hoag said the shaker doesn't really make the car produce more HP and if it does it's not until after 80mph and it would be minimal. The problem with the shaker mods is you really can't test it on a dyno...I mean I guess you could try to create wind force, but I'm not sure how practical that is

A buddy of mine has it for his, he says there is no noticeable difference. With how cheap it is, I don't see any problem with it though...who knows, maybe it'll work better for you since you're at a lower altitude.
