So who all is picking up there latest album today? Just got back from Best Buy and only got through the first 9 tracks, and I must say I am liking it thus far.

Meh old green day was cool. Then again its just not my style of music at all. The new CKY on the other hand hell yeah.

 

the only song i like out of Green Day would be 'Brain Stew'. other than that, nah.

I like the old Green Day, there new stuff is alright though.

 

They lost all credibility with me when they teamed up with U2 to "save the world" and try to tell us all what we're doing wrong.

Green day has become a terrible ******* band. I dont like how the singer uses some kinda english punk accent, and I dont like a god damn thing they sing about. They're like..all political and **** now, and it sucks. Old green day was good, but the new **** is just "Wah wah wah! Americas doing terrible, stop eating meat! wah wah wah! Global warming is killing the earth!" And I absolutely ******* hate U2 also. Same thing applies with them. Political bands suck. Accept for rise against. Only exception.

 

Rise against doesn't do it in a cry-baby-sucky-punk-run-home-to-mommy-everyone-sucks way like Green Day though.

Rise Against is more hard rock, more of a stick-it-to-the-man-riot type of style.

wow this thread turned into a hate thread real quick. Just stated I simply thought the new Green Day Cd was good. Hell most bands now have gotten all political. To be honest I really don't pay attention to the lyrics all that much. If it has a good beat then Ill more than likely like it. With the exception of a few bands.

 

If you dont care much about lyrics then Id suggets "We butter the bread with butter".
Cant understand them unless you speak fluent german. But man their music makes me want to destroy ****.

 

I'd rather stick my face in a pot of boiling oil than listen to that sad excuse for a band.

IMHO they are the worst band to ever walk the face of this earth.

 

won't be purchasing their cd... i liked a few of their old songs.. but the last..2 cds they've put out i haven't been impressed with.. really not my type of music anyways...
