So ive been wanting to see Quantum of Solace ever since the previews first aired.

In the past james bond has thwarted megalomaniacal evil do-ers attempt at world destruction, world domination, assassinations, and all of that crap.

And in this movie, What kind of HIGH LEVEL VILLAN do we have herre?

W Weasly little twerp who is trying to help the governemnet in bolivia get overthrown with no bloodshed so he can START A ******* UTILITY COMPANY IN BOLIVIA?

it was not about the water scheme.....

it was about them killing the girl in the first movie, Casino Royale.....the one he fell in love with.

the secondary plot was about the unknown group that was so large they had an undercover man that tried to kill Q.

it actually had very little to do with the water scheme, bond was not therte for the water.

 

James Bond could kick Chuck Norrise's *** and take all his money in a poker game....how dare you speak ill of James Bond!

 

I still haven't seen this one.

I've said this before but my dad filmed part of License to Kill when he was jumping out of the helicopter. My dad was right behind him with the camera because he was a stuntman/skydiver.

I will always love JB License To Kill. It has a little personal touch.

 

Yes, he has a gruddge and a vendetta, however the movie was CLEARLY more about the waterscheme guy than anything else. Because the waterscheme guy was in the movie the WHOLE TIME. Where were the OTHER villans?

The secondary plot where they tried to kill M (Q was the tech guy) was only realluy present for a very brief part in the beginning of the movie, and lightly reffered to here and therre. and lightly refferred to in the End. The rest of the time they are following the stupid water salesman.

They did not give us any other villans, and only hinted at stuff to come which in my view is pretty goddamn lazy. James bond movies are best when the villian is identified and eliminated all in the same movie. I dont want a LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy with James Bond.

What i want is a Megalomaniacal Villian with a Badass Henchman of some sorts, plenty of car chases, ski chases, foot chases, exosions, over the top action and the right things said at the right time.

This movie had car chases, foot chases, explosions, some over the top action, but it TOTALLY LACKED a Megalomaniacal Madman bend on world domination, aand THAT is the key ingredient in all the best bond flicks.

Save the realism for Patriot Games or other Tom Clancy Novels turned into movies.

With James Bond i want James Bond.

Remember the scene where the bolivians found thier water supply was disappearing?...

well thanks to Bond, the waterboys plans fell through and he is not around any longer to ensure the water deal still goes through.

I guess all those desert-living bolivians are properfucked right? Dehydration is a bitch.

Sean Connery was in the best james bond movies and was the best james bond!!!!!!

I enjoyed it as well. I think Daniel Craig is an all around great James Bond. The little weasel water stealing guy was just a minor villian. They still haven't uncovered the whole plot with Mr. White and the guys he's involved with. Plus the movie looks really good in HD and I got it for free. haha

 

I have never seen this movie. All I have to say is that Daniel Craig is an ugly sumbitch.

 

i agree with you man, was excited because my fiancee rented it, was disappointed, it wasn't as good as casino royale.

 

I hated the last James Bond movie. I expected to see an Aston Martin more than just the first five minutes of the movie. It sucked as a James Bond movie in every way possible. If it wasn't free for me to watch, I would have been pissed.

IMHO, 007 movies went south when they brought lame *** Roger Moore onboard, They should have got Chuck Norris to be Bond after Connery. Then there would be an infinate and possibly perpetual 007 movie/movies.

But seriously even Pierce couldn't really do Bond justice. Not at the same level as Connery.. Like I said just my opinion..

I would lose all respect for the James Bond series if they ever cast P. Diddy as Bond. He needs to stay behind the scenes producing. If you think you can act, then you should go out and prove it instead of wasting $750,000 on a stupid audition tape. There was no acting in there. Just him sitting there looking at the camera. What a waste of money. haha
