Default I know this is frowned upon on this forum...

But I just happened to be driving today, and got caught at a red light with this eclipse gs.
Well, I honestly wasnt even trying to race this dude, but he was provoking me, and Im kinda easily provoked when it comes to racing....but I totally raced this goofy looking dude in a silver gs today. I guess it wasnt so much of a race as it was a pull to 60, cause that when I hit the brakes, because if I went any faster it would have been speeding, and I dont need a ticket right now, haha. I had this guy by...I dunno...a car? I wasnt really looking, I was only looking straight ahead and I didnt see him in my peripherials, so I call that a win, haha. I was really surprised though cause that my first time racing an eclipse and I figured he would have had it gs or not. wish I had caught it on my camera or my cell phone, but I wasnt thinking of that....
Anyways, I felt the need to brag about this because Ive been drinking.

And rember.
I love you all no matter what.
haha.
=
Ok, I jut looked at the specs for the 2000+ model eclipse and it only has 153 horses and 163lbs of torque.
I dont fell that cool anymore...haha.

I beat a riced out civic in my BONE stock 01 saturn SL1 yesterday. Man was that funny... he's got all kinds of suspension rice done to it, 4" fart can, low-profile skins in back, regular stock honda tires in front (bwaahhahahahahahahaha roflmfaoatg), every body panel that could be poorly attached and unpainted (white fibreglass) was in fact suffering both maladies, the interior was gutted and the windshield looked like someone tossed a baseball at it.

I egged him on... revving at him and bumping Geto Boys' "Damn it feels good to be a gangsta" and lookin over and stuff...just trying my hardest to make him mad. Well... he revved back and it was on. Had him before the 1-2 shift (in my SATURN), made a power shift to 2nd and then when it was finally time, into 3rd gear and he was 2+ car lengths behind spittin' fart can music at the highest octave his engine could manage.

Then to top it all off... not even a damned ricer fly-by out of him. He turned around at the next opportunity and bounced.

The hell of it is, my saturn has trouble getting out of its own way.

I would call that a Bona Fide Kill. And it aint racing if you aint speeding. If you can get in front of anything when the light turns green until you reach the speed limit is automatic win light IMHO. If he see's you hit the brakes, too bad, so sad, he lost.. I do it all the time. Whats even better if you can catch him at the next light and do the same thing.. LOL.. I know my slow *** GT is good at dead stop grunt at a light. Mustangs are pretty stout in the Torque dept. Stock or not..

Yeah, even with 150 hp, my car still feels a little stout from the dig for a grocery getter, cause of that 215 lbs of torque.
But, yeah, that queer did the infamous ricer fly-by, while I was behind another car that was in my turning lane. ....I dont understand the fly-by thing. I coulda chased him down probably, but I really wasnt up for it, haha.

you are exactly right, this case reminds me of this guy we went to high school with that had an eclipse, he had one of those huge rocket launchers on the back. Long story short i carted 4 buddies home after lacrosse practice, we ran into the kid on night on the way home, and destroyed him in a 4wd 93 grand cherokee laredo that had like 150k miles on it at the time.

In my area, this isn't always the case. I've seen grown-*** men who are ricers.

Man, I was looking up that specs on all the eclipse models, and the gt only had like..195 hp that year. Thats shitty. You cant even put GT on something that doesnt have atleast 200 horses....thats just dumb.
