I have a large collection of coin proof sets i found in my grandmother's attic. My grandfather was a huge collector apparently.
I am wondering if anyone has some knowledge about mint coin proof sets. Maybe i can sell them for some extra cash?

 

I used to collect mint proof sets for a while. I have a few of them from the late 90s to early 00s and at the time they cost $40 when they first came out. And they do go up in value a decent amount.

Personally, I would keep your grandpas collection in the family.

Btw, how many proof sets did he have?

 

They are 1980's proofs. I just breezed through them, there were a few duplicate sets. I think there are about 20 sets. I dont know much about coins, but these are some great looking coins! I am going to keep a few sets for sure, we have a lot of his old belongings.

 

I'd hold on to them if you can. I have a big collection left from my grandparents. I don't know to much about them though lol.

 

Man i got a indian head penny from 1891. My pops gave it to me. that's pretty much it as far as coins go though.

 

Haha yeah i hear ya Badfish. I have alot of strange old coins like that, now i have 10 times as many after finding my grandpa's stash.
