Default Pulled over for Decal

I recently replaced the horse emblem on the side of the car with another that says wolf and later that day I got pulled over by a cop. He said that sinced I put a decal on a car that is not what it is supposed to be he said that it was illegal. Im pretty sure that is was full of crap but was wondering if any of you guys had a problem like that.

Um yeah that's some bull****, every state has different laws, but I still think that's just some bull****. He's either jealous or just wants to be a dick. I have a cop like that around my area that trys to **** with me all the time, but he can't get anything on me.

Edit: Did he give you a ticket?

Uh, never heard of that one...(putting wolf on the car, not the cop)

We've got a practical jokester cop in town here who wrote a fake ticket once to some high school student for having NOS written on his car.

Yeah, the cop was the school cop and he mainly gave it out to school students to **** them off. Every now and then throwing in a regular everyday person just to mess with them a bit....fun dude. We used to do burnouts in the school parking lot with that guy.

Well the wolf part was due to the fact that I like wolves...(here comes the ridicule) but as for the ticket part, he let me off with a warning but said the next time will issue a $175 fine for falsefying property. Im not sure I spelled that right but oh well.

I would keep it on and take him to court over it. He may get in trouble or even fired for it. I believe they call that "harrassmeant" and you should look up the law on it (if there is one).

Sounds like a good idea, but I will probably maybe keep it on for awhile and pass by like a police staion and have all the cops there look at it and see what happens. As for the picture of the wolf emblem I will try to upload the picture of my car but it kinda looks like that brand puma logo. You know the one that says puma and the outline of puma jumping over it. Kinda like that except it says wolf and has the outline of a wolf jumping over it.

The only time I could see a decal being illegal is if it's offensive in some way, or it blocks the view from one of your windows. Other than that, I'd say the ticket he gave you is complete crap.

I wonder if he would have said the same thing if you removed your badges completely. I also wonder if he hassles the ricers, too.

Although I do believe that misbadging a Mustang (A V6 as a GT or a Cobra, or a GT as a Cobra) should be a crime.

you can put any emblem on your car... as long as it doesnt cause a public diturbance...

If the cop said "falsifying propery" there is no such law against that unless your talking about a copywright issue, to which that cop has no jurisdiction upon. Id be contacting his cheif and the mayor of your town for harassment.

He's probably got his panties in a wad and has a personal vendetta against Mustangs.

you NEED to raise the issue with the department. It's not ok for him to go making up laws as he goes along and it's not legal for him to pull you over just to be a total **********. He detained you without an offense to investigate or cite you for. Take his ******* badge before he does something that really violates your rights.

Let's see a picture of your car. I want to see that decal. Maybe you deserved a ticket lol.

But anyway there is no way you are going to have to pay that if you really did get one.

Falsifying property? I woulda just confused him by saying, "Oh, the car is a Wolf, manufactured by xxxx. I just put Mustang fenders, doors, and hood on it".

gay. go to the PD where you were pulled over and get his badge taken away. that is def. harassment. just because he is a dick doesnt mean he can pull you over becasue you have a wolf on your car....

that like saying you have a wolf tattoo on your shoulder and a cop arresting you because of it.

+1 on what r3d said.

that is complete horseshit. he was just being a asshat and making up a reason to pull you over to see if you were high and drunk.

falsifying property my ***.

tell that ****** when the next car show is and tell him to bring his ticket book
