Credit Scores?

Credit Scores?
I'm trying to find a reliable web site or provider to check my credit score. I know that most of these things like freecreditreport make you enroll in their "triple advantage" plans and I'm really not interested in anything like that.
So, does anyone know of a place that just provides you with your credit scores, say for a year or so? I just want to be able to check them every month or two.

I'm thinking that's probably a bad idea.. Running your Score for things like that look bad if you don't purchase anything. I'm trying to build my credit up from an old Apartment ordeal that happened a few years ago.. Just got myself 100% out of debt today (except for my house) so that should help..

Nah - By running a credit check, it doesn't ruin your credit. It's an old myth. I know this because I am in the process of buying a house and every person along the way told me so. There is a website that allows for you to run 1 free credit check a year. It's actually a new law that went through not too long ago. I'll check around to figure out which it was and will post it. I used it and it doesn't charge you a dime.

OK, here is the link... Your state might not have it as a law though. (It says: The following states have laws that make free credit reports available to consumers: Colorado, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Vermont.)
If your state isn't here, then try anyway. It should be a law in EVERY state. Only makes sense, especially with this economy!

You can get the credit score watcher from Equifax's website for like $15 a month, or you can pay $15 to check your score, but it's a one time thing. Not sure how much it is to check your credit report as well. I believe around the same price.

i just ran mine...i actually ran it against all 3 and 2 had me at 715 and the equifax had me at 727...man my **** has dropped in the past 6 months.
i use free credit report and it cost me 15 bucks a month for monthly equifax credit score updates. small insurance for me and i check my reports 2 times a year. i just seen on my report today that someone opened a CHASE account back in 2007. i never opened this account so there are only a few people that had enough of my information to do this: parents, ex-wife, old roommates in delaware. now i just need to call and try to get it taken off because there is one 30 day late payment. what i find funny is that only 17 bucks was charged to the account the whole time it was open, LOL. this card wasnt on my last credit report when i checked it last august.
my new military Citi bank credit card isnt showing up either and i got that back in september...we used to use bank of america.
