Strapping down wheels in a truck bed?

Default Strapping down wheels in a truck bed?

I'm selling my old evo wheels today, and I'm meeting a guy from Denver in the middle. I was going to throw the wheels in the bed and strap em down. I realized I dont really know how..

There are four hooks in my bed, one at each corner. I have four wheels all with tires on them. Any of you guys good at this?

what do you mean? I was planning on laying all four flat/face up in the bed.

i agree with stephen, it's not like you dont have a tailgate and there gonna fly out.

just put an old blanket or towels down so they dont slide or scratch

I've always hauled tired/wheels around like this and never had any problem. If I remember right you had some really light rims on that thing, I wouldn't want to see them take off and fly out of the truck..

Jon, what I've always done was take the wheels and stand them up, then run a strap through the center and hook it and call it a day. Though laying them flat would probably work too, I've had problems with that in the past (granted I was carrying 8 wheels) so that's something I tend to stray away from. It'd probably work fine with just four, though.

yeah I just drove for 10 mins at 75 miles per hour and they didn't move an inch. So i'm just gonna do that. wish me luck!

Yeah, how much of that have you guys got? We're measuring almost 4'' and it just started maybe three hours ago.

Yeah this is definitely not a day I'd want to drive on monument hill. Honestly, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to go to school tomorrow, I don't think my car will be able to leave the garage. Sucks too because I'm touring CU-Boulder tomorrow morning. Might have to borrow the family truck for that drive....
