Yo
Hey guys, sorry I've been absent for a while. Been busy with work and what not. I recently got promoted to SSgt/E6, which is a nice pay raise for me. I finally got my short block built and she's just sitting in my garage waiting for more parts so I can put her together. I think that's all that's been going on with me. Oh yeah, the specs on the shortblock. I'm using a cobra iron block with cp pistons, oliver billet rods, kellog stroker crank, melling oil pump and arp hardware. So she'll take a beating. Also need to get either new turbos or rebuild my current ones. Anywho, here are some pics of the shortblock.

I think swervo and I got our mach's around the same time....we both added exhaust and some other goodies, and well I sold my mach and he's continued to build his up to probably one of the nicest mach's I've ever seen. Congrats man

when you get her all finished.

That's funny you mention a blue mach cause not to long ago I pulled up to one and the freaking exhaust when he took of freaking made my ears hurt....I hate SLP.

hey. Sweet build update. I was just wondering the other day what was up with your car, the last I remember of you was when you got the fr500's.
what #s you expect once it's all built assuming you up the boost?

my eventual goal is 700 on pump gas and 800+ on race gas.

hey swervo, gotta Q.
Why is it that when mach owners build their motors they go with cobra blocks rather than keeping the lighter stockers? Am I missled in thinking our blocks will safely handle more than your power goals?
Part of the answer could be that they buy a shortblock, which most always is built with iron, but am I going down the wrong road in building my aluminum block?
