Hey guys, sorry I've been absent for a while. Been busy with work and what not. I recently got promoted to SSgt/E6, which is a nice pay raise for me. I finally got my short block built and she's just sitting in my garage waiting for more parts so I can put her together. I think that's all that's been going on with me. Oh yeah, the specs on the shortblock. I'm using a cobra iron block with cp pistons, oliver billet rods, kellog stroker crank, melling oil pump and arp hardware. So she'll take a beating. Also need to get either new turbos or rebuild my current ones. Anywho, here are some pics of the shortblock.

And probably one of the loudest stangs out there. There's a blue Mach here in my town that rasps my ears everytime i get next to him. SLP's no doubt. Make a new vid, swervo
when you get her all finished.

That's funny you mention a blue mach cause not to long ago I pulled up to one and the freaking exhaust when he took of freaking made my ears hurt....I hate SLP.

hey swervo, gotta Q.

Why is it that when mach owners build their motors they go with cobra blocks rather than keeping the lighter stockers? Am I missled in thinking our blocks will safely handle more than your power goals?
Part of the answer could be that they buy a shortblock, which most always is built with iron, but am I going down the wrong road in building my aluminum block?

Well, I did it because I needed a second block, and the aluminum ones were more expensive. Plus, the iron block are quite stout. If you can find a teksid block, the newer 05+, or aluminator block, you should use them for your build. Our WAP blocks aren't that great.
