Then why did you ask in the first place, that sounds like a master plan to me. But hey, since the viruses are already there, it wouldn't hurt to add a few more right time to explore Lazerred6.

If you have viruses as bad as you made them sound to be, you will seriously need a computer guy. That you know one makes it even better.

That pissed me off to, its pretty clever isn't it. You get nailed with the damn virus then it sends you "alerts" which are really just more viruses, which you immediately start downloading because you think your cleaning your computer. You will not win this won Red, leave it alone and have it looked at.

If you can figure out what virus it is, sometimes certain ones are popular for a while, you could probbly google it and find steps to remove it. My girlfriends laptop got a pretty bad virus a while back. I took it to an old roomate who is a computer wiz and he fixed it for us but that pretty much what he said he did. With viruses and stuff there are usually more people with them and articles or stuff online about how to get rid of them.

You need to get the computer in safe mode without networking and run Avast there.

Get your computer nerd buddy to take a look at it.

run SuperAntiSpyware. i dont think any of the facebook stuff is ACTUAL viruses, its malware. boot the computer in safe mode (reboot it and while its starting, mash on the F8 key and "Boot into Safe Mode". then run superantispyware in safe mode.

Another thing you could try if you have XP is click start, accessories, system tools, system restore, and restore from a day before you got that mess. It's easy and it may wipe out all the stuff that was downloaded. I've used it successfully a bunch of times..

Does anyone know of a spyware program that you can get for free that actually lets you get rid of what it finds cause I still have a few things that won't go away and spyhunter finds them but I don't want to pay to have them removed

I think you can get spybot for free, and adaware works pretty good too. It's free also..

It's more than likely the koobface virus. It was a popular email virus from Myspace years back. I'll read up about it and see if I can find any solutions, but I don't know if it's the same version of the koobface virus or if it's been altered any.

I'm fairly certain it is. That's what the koobface virus was all about. Still haven't read about any solutions, but I'm looking.

Here is a little story about how the koobface virus has made it's way to facebook for those interested in learning more about it. I've got something that came up so I've got to leave the situation at the moment, but if anyone wants to take over trying to look for some sort of removal tips of the virus or anything like that feel free. I'll be back on in a little while to check up on the situation and offer any input that I can.
