First child!
Well, I never really said anything, but my wife is 38 weeks pregnant and we checked in the hospital last night so they could induce labor. There were some minor issues so that's why they are inducing two weeks early. It's 5:50am and they will give her the medicne to induce at 6am and then we wait!
Wish us luck!

congrats. I have 2, they're more fun than you're ready for.
Note... when my wife was induced with the first one the pitosin drip made her go all pale and that was really unnerving be prepared for her to look like she's in a really bad way and just communicate with the docs if you're worried. Also don't let them tell you it's too early for the epidural after she dilates to 5cm if your wife is in enough discomfort to want it she needs it and induced births are always more uncomfortable.

Congrats jjt. Just remember, when baby naps, tell mom to nap too. Sleepless nights may agitate some parents, but it's not the babys fault. Just be ready to wake up and do the daddy relief. Most times it's just a bottle, or a diaper change, but it will happen at all hours. LOL, the first few weeks are mostly easy cause he will proabaly sleep 18 hours a day. But, after a few more weeks. Be prepared. And by all means post any questions you have about, How to's and what not's. Plenty of advice will be at your hands. Been there done that..
Oh, and another thing, Be sure to Burp the little guy often, unless you want to wear formula on your shoulder..
