Well, I met this girl at this bar friday night I went upto her asked her to dance, so we danced.. to make a long story short at the end of the night I asked for her number.. and we exchanged numbers, I even drove her home to find out she lives 5-10 min from me.. I dropped her off and she said "you better call me" I said "I will".. this was friday, I texted her on sunday saying whats up she didnt respond.. I called her tonight and left a message saying hey when you get this gimme a call me back.. and havent heard from her.. I was talkin to my buddy and he said I blew it by not calling her the next day... what you guys think?? she seemed big time interested and she wasnt drinking that night because she had to wake up early..

I don't know if there is a golden wait rule, but I usually give it two days. One day comes across needy. Two days comes across that you have a life, but are interested. I've never tried three days..

 

You probably shoulda called her or at least text her on Saturday, she may have wanted to have a date with you then.. But there's always different rules to this game, and they are always changing.. Maybe you shoulda tried for a nightcap on Friday...

Since I am a girl, I will give you my idea, and maybe Mustangrn will come and back me up on this.

If you meet a girl and she seems into you and literally tells you that you 'better call her', you can safely call her the next day. If we like you, it won't be 'needy' to call us the day after. If you don't call us, we may get the impression that you do not like us that much. And for f*cks sake, call the damn girl, do not text. Texting would lose massive amounts of points with me. Calling and speaking to us is much more personal. Texting is more... detached.

Now, if you don't call the day after and wait maybe a day or two, that is fine. If we really like you and are looking forward to hearing from you, we may forgive you for it. But if you meet us and tell us you'll call us and wait more than two days, you lose, like PCola said. We'll have the impression that you're really not that into us.

To sum up, if you meet a girl, get her number, and you genuinely feel she's into you, call her the day after. Leave her a message if she doesn't answer. If she's into you the way you think she is, she will call you back.

If i met a girl like that and said those things to me i would of just called the next night and did another bar thing with her. so, you drove this girl home and she seemed a little interested and you didnt make any moves....personally i would of made a move to secure the deal and if it backfired, than, hey at least i tried. seems like you are regretting not trying to make something happen that night.

You never know, if she was really interested in you shes not going to forget about you right away just because you didn't call the next day. There's a possibility she lost her phone. That happened to me once i called left a message... nothing on day 3 of no response I was just like **** it and then to my surprise I finally got a call about 5 days later explaining what happened. Next time I saw her she did have a new phone so it wasn't a BS story

 

Nah i told her to text me after she got home because she was going to originally take a cab.. but i offered I ride to her when I dropped her off I forgot to mention she was with 2 other friends... I told her she didnt have to text me I know she got home safe.. then she said Ok, you better call me!

 

I think you should have called her the next day also. You drove her home, she told you to call her, she wasn't even drunk. But I also don't think it's that big of a deal, is call her again soon and if you still don't get an answer, leave a message and leave it up to her.
