Default some of y'all are up late

if i were somewhere in the states i would most likely be out gettin smashed. right now its 950 am and i am only awake because someone that works in my squadron got a DUI on friday so we all had to report to duty at 7am to get bent over by the commander. the air force here at ramstein aint ******* around and us being a bunch of maintainers life has turned into a whirl wind of all types of reprimands. The lifestyle that revolves around maintainers is party party and party...which is true becuase thats what i do but at work couldnt tell. i do the school bid, i try to supervise my troops to the best of my ability but hitting the bars can take its toll...i go to two small bars and the drama has gotten out of hand.

7 more months in germany...man this 2 year tour is coming to a close way too ******* fast. i cant wait to hit the ALPS, switzerland, austria and bavaria (germany) are the spots to be during the winter months...too bad i have to do a 4 hour drive just to get to those places.

where are some good states to move too....california is looking like a glimmer of light that will most likely not happen for me. now, im looking into new mex, arizona, florida, delaware, georgia, and maybe washington state. gimme some insight, im bored.

whatever you do, STAY AWAY FROM CALIFORNIA. trust me. was there for 2 years in NTC, Fort Irwin. i would move to either Arizona or New Mexico. 75 MPH speed limit, and cheap gas.

I recommend Colorado Springs, Colorado. You'd be a few miles away from the Bandimere Speedway, pretty decent weather most of the year. Some occasional snow, but we haven't seen anything bad as far as snow anywhere in Colorado since the '05-'06 blizzards...

if you move to delaware...around the PA/md/nj boarder, you will have ATCO, Cecil County Drag, Englishtown Speedway, Maple Grove Drag, and another i cant remember. that and you will live about 40 mins from me. lol.

New Mex/Arizona has really really hot and nasty dry weather...not sure how you would like it.

Florida has major humidity issues...some days it feels like your living in a sauna.

Delaware has its nice weather and its bad weather. Nice warm summers, and nice cool winters. no extremes of both. i should know, i am about 25 miles from it.

Georgia...dont know. never lived there.

Washington State has mostly rain. i mean look at Seattle.

Colorado springs? lol. I grew up there. Colorado springs sucks.

How about littleton? I can hear the nationals at bandimere from my house.

lol

75mph highways,. tons of hotties, you just gotta get used to hot dry air.

November 2nd, it is like 75 degrees out.

WTF?

Texas (Austin in particular. Houston is real humid plus in Austin there's tons of live music if your into that) or Chicago if you don't mind cold

whatever you do stay the hell away from GEORGIA. They have some of the dumbest laws there

I thought he was with the Air Force, which would mean a transfer to the Colorado base in Colorado Springs.

But yeah, the heat is a little weird. Can't say that I mind it though, I don't want my car exposed to freezing temps much.

I would imagine it's kinda hard to just pick where you want to live, being in the military, but if you can choose, NC has been very nice this whole year. We had a pretty hot Summer in July and some of August, but not unusual for us. Today was a perfect day here. 70's with totally blue skies. I couldn't have wished to be anywhere else.

my career field kind of limits me to bases that only have flightlines. yes, its true that i cant just pick where i want to live but it doesnt mean i cant be optimistic. Colorado would be nice but my job isnt there . i lived in delaware before for 3 years, kind of weird to say but i didnt mind my life there. NC no way OPs tempo way too high for me to be comfortable with; F-15's are always deployed. I only put in georgia because Moody has a mission/command that i havent worked in before. Texas has one base that i can go to and i have no desire to be stationed at dyess, no offense to the others that live there. The places i want to go to in flordia arent that great...i keep hearing Ft. Walton aint that great of a place to live. i have heard of nothing but good things about Phoenix and Albuquerque. I guess every state has its ups and downs but im tired of 4 seasons i miss summer/winter not the crap in between. oh yeah delaware got pretty F'n cold down into the single digits and negatives on the wind chill. I find out what i get in a few months than its cram time to prepare for another international move. this is crazy 4 bases in 6 years!

Well if not Colorado, choose Phoenix. I've spent a lot of time there and it's nice. The heat is more of a mental thing than it actually being hot. 114 degrees sounds hot, but it's s very dry heat so it feels more like low-mid 90s. And this time of year has some of the best weather...it's a very respectable place to live.

Georgia is well and good. plenty fine ripe peaches down here, and I'm not talking about the fruit. today it almost felt like 70 degrees out and we're already in the month of Nov. you'll barely see snow, and if ya do stay in your house!! The way people drive down here in the south and react to weather conditions is like watching a retard driving a go-kart backwards and act like the world is going to end. It's freaking hilarious. If they haven't seen snow or rain for the past couple of months, they forget how to drive. So stay in your house!

Altanta speedway and the Dragstrip over in Commerce, Ga could vary depending on where you are coming from.

I myself have only lived here for the past 2-3 years. I'm originally from south jersey.

Rota doesnt pop up all the time for my job so when it does people usually opt to go there. last cycle souda bay greece was up for grabs but it didnt fit in my release month from germany. im scheduled to leave germany in june and ROTA wants the new person there in July which is perfect for me. if i get it i get a free plane ride home and back to spain due to consecutive overseas tours

i forgot to mention hickam hawaii was on their too 5 slots open that i put in for as well! LOL. Oahu sounds great but i bet i will get sick of it after a couple months. i think the stang will like it there as well.

im not working at that base...the C-17's carry a huge mission right now and it will be just like it is here at ramstein.

i been there before and that city is night and day when it comes to the hood and the nice part. really, all i remember about the place is hooters some nascar bar that me and some friends went to on a 3 day weekend like 3 years ago.

man, georgia is getting blasted. i kind of figured that most of the south will be like that.
