Gaaadamm it. I got bored with racing games and decided to play some Golf. I figured Tiger Woods PGA tour 08 for 15 bucks was a good deal. Instead of getting the disc, I'll get direct download using my EA download manager.

Bought it, downloaded it. Stupid EA manger won't let me play it. Keeps saying to logon to EA manger to confirm ownership. Did that, Game is installed on my computer.

After numerous e-mails to tech support and trying all there suggestions, I finally gave up and told them to send me the gaadam disc or credit my visa card. No response form them yet. I aint jumping through hoops for them. They want me to try shutting down all internet security, (which I tried) to no avail.. Geez I thought this would be an easy way get a game. Anyway If they don't send me the disc or credit my account, I'm gonna refuse payment. Geez I could have bought the dam game from best buy and be tired of it by now. Anyone else have problems wuh EA download manager doing stupid **** like this.

Sorry to rant but I have wasted 2 days trying to get this game to actually let me play it..

I've never tried the EA downloader, but I've never liked the EA games. Except Madden 2004, I liked that. But everything else is half-a$$ed. Their NASCAR series has never been good, I'm no golf fan so naturally I wouldn't go spend money to play virtual golf, and no matter what they do with more recent Madden games, when it boils down to it it's the same game as before with one or two new features. Not a fan.

 

Yep, if there's one thing that King and I can agree on it's that EA pretty much sucks.

 

I like EA games for the most part, Heck I've got all the NFS games, just waiting for undercover to come out now. Nascar games are ok, but needs some updating for PC. But anything online with EA is a pure disaster. They changed the login modes from user name to e-mail name, but you can still use either for certain parts of their stupid worlwide EA nation BS. Anyway they haven't satisfied my request for the actual game disc or credit. I'll dog their asses till I get one of the two. I get e-mails from 3 or 4 different assistants to my "incident report". I really hate to get ugly wit them but my patience has gotten a lot thinner in my old age,, LOL,,
