Checking In
Hey All,
I really haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth. It’s been a whirl wind few weeks. My husband was home for R&R from Afghanistan and we were quite busy cramming a year into 20 days. Here are the highlights not including all the family events that are boring if u aren’t family:
We started on day 1 by acquiring a beater car, a 2001 Mazda 626 with 81k miles. It’s not pretty but it runs and gets decent mileage.
Of course Murphy just couldn’t let this pass, sooooo on the first day I drove it to work some one hit me in the parking lot and left. Not a big deal, only cosmetic damage but really rude. Glad I wasn't driving the stang.
On day 2 we left for a weekend at Pigeon Forge with our local Mustang club The Wildhorses.
The purpose of this trip was to run the Tail of the Dragon, Hwy 129. It’s an eleven mile stretch that has 318 curves. It was a hell of a ride
Later that evening we terrorized a local go-kart track for a couple
of hours, which ended with the club being banned….a good time was had by us.
We also entered the Mustang in her first show and took third. It was a small local show put on by an aviation school but it was a lot of fun and I think this show thing could be habit forming.
I think that’s all the news that’s mustang related. I’ve been trying to catch up on reading all the posts but I’m really far behind. Hope to be current with all the goings on soon but I have this job thing now that is really cutting into my internet time, may have to quit. lol

sounds like a great time. When I first saw the picture of the car before reading I thought it was going to be an I sold the stang thread
All you missed was: Jack may have sold his stang, Pcola decided to half *** the job of removing his side stripes and kept the letters (looks good though), Stephen helped someone apparently and that's about it

Good trip. I've been on that road with my whole family in my wifes Concorde. Helluva ride. we got passed by every bike and sportscar on the road. LOL. Even saw a Harley down in the ditch. Friends got him out ok.
Anyway, you're post's dont have to be Mustang related all the time. I think a lot of us just like to hear, the boring family stuff too. Lord knows I'll post some off the wall stuff in a minute. So keep posting. Looks like you have a really nice family. having fun together is very important.. And tell your hubby "Thank You" for his services he's doing for our country, He is appreciated, by all of us I hope..
