So i have been seeing a lot of used parts that i could get for way cheeper then buying then new. but anyway would you guys suggest buying used parts?? ive seen gears intakes short shifters. Like i said earlier would you guys suggest getting used parts??
the parts ive seen they say they have been used for 2-3 months

Depends on the part. Don't buy used gears I don't see a problem with a shifter or an intake though

Gears I think you would want to be careful about since you dont want gears to be chipped or anything...

 

Used parts are a case-to-case basis. I actually put used gears in my v6 and everything was perfectly fine, but not the safe choice. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't put in used gears in my GT. But of course things like CAI work pretty much no matter what, and only wear on the appearance of them.

 

I buy lots of used parts, but it depends on the item. My h-pipe,tb,plenum,shifter,pulleys are all used and work great. I have even bought used drag radials that had few miles on them.
