So i was on my way to buy thngs to prepare for Ike and was at a median about to make a u turn but, was waiting for the opportunity to do so. When i finally get the chance, i accelerate and this lady gets infront of me and breaks. but bc i was already in motion and she got infront of me, i hit her. the worst thing is, is that its my first car that i care for deeply, and my bumper busts open while she only gets a dent and some red paint. it hurts to see my pony like this. but might take the opportunity to either upgrade the bumper or just replace it with an original one and get a hoodscoop...heres some pics

Was it just the bumper that got damage? I see some scuffs on the fender but is that just paint transfer? If it was just your bumper it's time to upgrade to a cobra bumper.

It's certainly not too much, so long as you don't put cobra/roush/saleen etc emblems/badges etc on it, go for it.

Once I **** my front bumper up I'm getting a 99/01 cobra front. lol

It never hurts to check your local craigslist, some people have luck with that. Ebay is also a good place to look.

The only place I know of that sells them as a vender is bumpers.com, they're pricey from there. $305 unpainted, plus you need foglights & bezels.

They look ******* sexy with a chin spoiler, if you can get it to mount without being all wavy. Bumper doesn't follow the same curve as a v6/gt bumper

go for it for sure if you can find one for a good price. It would look hot and people do it all the time. Only time you get flamed is when you throw roush or cobra badges on but just the bumper is fair game

It'll look good. a GT hoodscoop would be a nice touch though.

 

OUCH on the bumper man, that really sucks. A buddy of mine was pulling out of work once, and when he turned while in reverse, SOMEHOW he hooked the front bumper on a fire hydrant and it looked about identical to yours.

As for the cobra bumper - chin spoiler FTW, but you can go without and it looks fine.
