Don't Every Buy any..
Samsung products, or Shop at Electronics Express.
Let me start out by saying this. I have been an avid Samsung supporter for years, I have always backed their products because of their style and quality.
I recently bought a 26cu' Samsung Refrigerator from Electronics Express, looked perfect and was off of the showroom floor. Took it home, plugged it in and let it sit for a day or two to get nice & cool. Lo and Behold, the thing doesn't work.. Called E.E. and let them know what was going on told them since I wasn't living in the house yet that I would call Samsung and let them try to figure it out first, the said "OK, let us know if they don't figure anything out for you and we'll take care of it."
So, Samsung's "certified" repairman comes out (redneck, hillbilly, doesn't know his *** from a hole in the ground) and looks at the fridge (for about 1 min.). Crosses his arms and says "well, I guess we can replace the door sensors and the main board.." I'm thinking, "how the hell did you come to that conclusion?" Instead I agree and say OK, go for it.. So, about a week later he comes back out.. But has no parts?.. The next thing I know he's on the phone with Samsung Tech support getting Ohm readings from the sensors, now I'm really like WTF, he doesn't know what voltage he needs??? He leaves and comes back about 3 days later with sensors, replaces them and what do you know.. Still doesn't work!
Throughout all of this I had been talking to Samsung directly and saying, these people have no idea what they are doing, what happens if/when they don't get it fixxed? Their response "we'll refund you the purchase price minus the tax in 3-4 weeks." HA! My response was obviously to tell them under no uncertain terms that they would be giving me the full purchase price (tax and all) or swapping the unit.
At this point I'm hopping mad with Samsung so I call the salesman back at E.E. it's been about 21/2 weeks and say, "look these people are really dicking me around, what can we do about this?" He says I'll talk to my DM. Response? "Sorry, you're S.O.L. we can't do anything for you." ----Now I'm really getting angry..
So, I deal with Samsung.. They agree to give me a full refund, tax and all and say they will rush the refund. So, the refund gets here today (bought the refrigerator on 6/27/08).. Guess what. They refunded the Line purchase price with no refunded taxes. SURPRISE! I call Samsung thinking it's a mix-up and they'll take care of it.. Now they are telling me that I can call the State and let them know that it has been refunded and get the taxes back from the State!!! Holy shitbanans batman! Try to get money back from the state!?!!! HA!!!! Needless to say I am not happy. They are "submitting it to their RMA 'experts" for review because they couldn't find the note where the lady told me she would refund the taxes.
Without a doubt, the WORST customer service I have ever had, not only from Samsung, but Electronics Express as well.
---Forgive me, I needed to vent a little...
So, I guess the moral of this story is.. If you buy Samsung, buy the extended warranty & if you buy Samsung Appliances, buy them from Lowes because they swap the units directly.
As far as Electronics Express, just don't shop there.. You apparently truly get what you pay for with them.

That sucks man. I've always had good experiences with samsung products, but I have to say I've never had to call them for anything. As far as electronics express goes, we don't have one here so no need to worry about them. I'm not sure about Samsung as a refrigerator, havent really read anything about them, but I went with a stainless steel LG. Works great and looks great. Hope everything works out.

To me Samsung = Great Quality, I was a Manager at Cicruit City for 2 years and sold Samsung products like crazy. Out of those two years I might have had 2-3 problems. The Samsung Fridge had the best style and functionality (or so it seemed) so I bought it.. Never again.. I'll be going with Whirlpool or GE when I replace this POS.

yeah
i highly reccommend only buying products from brand names that are responsible for thier solid band name
in other words
dont buy a refridgerator from somone who makes kickass tv's
and dont buy tv's from somone who makes kickass refridgerators.
every tv i own is from Panasonic, im a die hard panasonic fan, but you wouldnt catch me dead with panasonic tires, or a goodyear plasma.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Samsung crap. I posted something on here earlier in the year about their crap service. Took them 4 months to attempt to fix my home theater system then took them another 4 months to send me my refund check. They kept telling me they didn't have my product blah blah blah and I had to get the Attorney General of New Jersey and the BBB involved in order to get my refund after they had my product for a couple months. I finally got it this summer and the issue started last november. Story short: Panasonic, Sony > Samsung or actually Anyone > Samsung. I'll never buy another Samsung product and I'm just about 21 so there missing out on a lot of future sales from me haha.
Also my family just built a new house and they went with all GE Profile appliances and all of those work great and look nice
