how much ram do you have? I don't know anything about computers but I heard that you should have at least 2gb with vista. I got 4 in my dell laptop and it runs quick

ah i found what you were talking about by clicking around. Click on the start button and where it says "start search" type msconfig. Then click on Startup and I remember you don't want to uncheck anything that has to do with windows so just uncheck things like itunes, quicktime, adobe... etc. Don't know if it will speed it up much though

i really like vista. im just pissed that it takes so long to load. i dont wanna downgrade to xp cause i cant find all of the drivers for my computer.

I have an M1330 with 2 gigs of ram, a 2.2 GHz Core 2 Dou. once it gets started up, it is pretty quick, not as quick as xp is, but for all of the fancy stuff, its pretty quick.

in the winter i may sell this one and get a macbook pro.

the new air is crap. its is just stripped down of everything. its the most basic computer you can get. at least get a normal macbook.

I not had any problems with my Vista. I stopped a lot of the startup programs, but I also don't shut the computer down very often. I have it setup to hibernate once i close the lid. It makes it start up real quick when you need it and you don't have to keep shutting down and restarting yoru computer.
