Default Keylogger?

I am in need of a keylogger for my computer to catch certain passwords that people use on my computer and to monitor what my laptop is being used for. I use it all night, and most days someone else uses it I come home and my internet history is totally erased and I have become suspicious of what is going on. Has anyone used one? Does anyone have suggestions of what ones to use?

do you use a wireless laptop on a router?? If so, you can either monitor, log, or restrict access to certain types of content, keywords, or sites at the router level; just type in the routers ip address and log in(let me know if you need help on that)
as far as keyloggers go, if they are tech savy, you can go with a hardware one, its just a dongle but they are expensive. software may be found by someone who knows what they are doing but you can try http://www.refog.com/ for a start.
also, are they clearing the cache as well???
make sure you can view hidden files (if you dont know how, let me know) and go to
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
there will be folders there that will have bits and peices of websites that were visited...
also, if they have a google account, you can view their web searches
if they automatically log in, just go to "web history".... that may help as well....

good luck on your nancy drewin!

Keyloggers are dangerous in general but they're pretty easy to find online. Note that your local laws may contraindicate you using one, so be judicious about where you install it. Also remember that anything you log of other peoples they can log for you.

You could also create an account on your laptop for the user that uses it other than you. THen you each log in under your own profiles and **** it up for yourselves instead of everyone (usually).
