Default Cobra??

Im looking into finding a new mustang. I wanted to go with a Cobra. My only problem is I cant afford a 01-04. I was looking at some 98's but most are still too much. I want to know i they made a cobra in 95-97 years?
Thanks for you help

Well if you S/C your 6 it won't be sounding weak anymore..can't help you with the displacement part unless you bore it or do a 4.2l swap.

Otherwise, I'd not settle for an SN95 cobra.

exactly. I appreciate any fast car and I guarantee stangcharger is handing gt's their asses on a daily basis, but we sixers will always need more boost, more engine work, etc. to keep up.

Si. Dad's got the 98 Cobra in my sig. It's nice, don't get me wrong. 305 Hp rating is not a bad thing. And it sounds like a beast. But you'll want a supercharger. That's the real big leagues.

the 94-95's were 5.0L, the 96-98's were the 32V 4.6L's. Then I assume you know about the 99/01 & 03/04's. I would save for the 01 at least, it may be more but will be worth it. I am totally with you on selling the six for the 8, I know I want to.

definately understand the insurance thing. I haven't even looked at that yet, bu that will be my determining factor between a GT and a cobra.

It just depends what your budget is..... You might be able to find a decent deal on an 03/04 mach 1, the bad think is I think the insurance on a mach 1 is the same as a terminator.

I friend of mine at work this morning just told me that his son in Florida is selling his '03 Cobra.... This guys has put several thousands of dollars in it too! He says it dynos at 607 rwhp. He is selling it for 27k. I think its worth every penny considering it has been garage kept, and not beat up on at the track. Was also told the only thing he did with it really was a weekend driver and took it to shows and meets. The kicker thing to this whole deal is this Cobra only has 14 thousand miles on it.! This guy is a NAVY guy so between being "in the feild" and his DD this thing wasnt driven much. With that mileage and his extended warranty.... this thing still has coverage too.

Anyway... I only wish I could buy that car... if I could I damn sure would. Just thought I would share this with you guys.

PS sorry if this is a thread hijacking!
