Insurance will be about $215 - 245/mo for a 20 y/o and a 96-98 Cobra. Obviously depends on your MVR and your state. If you can get it on your parents insurance it's the best bet. Just make sure whatever you do that you get good limits like 100/300/100 = 400,000 in liability.

BTW: Im an insurance agent..

I practice what I preach though... What it costs for you is what it costs for me.. Once you get older though you start to realise that insurance is a necessry evil. People always want something for nothing so they will sue you in an instant.

I'm only 21 so I understand what everyone is going through and I personally will be getting a GT at some point, probably another SN-95. A cobra just isn't really feesible, payment + insurance you're probably looking at $500/mo.. Not worth it IMHO, I can wait until im 25 to get a Slowbra.. They'll be faster then anyway...

Full Coverage on a Cobra in NJ for me is probably at least 500 a month itself.

Cobra's cost money. You have to pay to play. $ for $, the biggest bang for the buck is a 1999 Cobra. They are relatively cheap due to the fact that the '03's were a lot better. the 99's still have a 4V engine and are great to SC.

As you go older, the prices can actually start to climb. Look at what people are asking for 1993 Cobras

I would avoid the 99 and go for the 01. Essentially the same car but the 99 had a recall with something to do on the intake manifold if I remember correctly, also I have heard from many people that they 99's didn't produce the power Ford said they did, but the problem was refined during 2000 when they re-released in 2001.

I'm pretty sure Ford took in most of the Cobras and made changes to the exhaust, and other things to make it produce the power it claimed to have.

If it has a faggy paint job, you can call me a flamin' homo.

The mystic and Mystic chrome are two of the most secks colors ever put on a Mustang.

Hey CheddarBob, keep looking on craiglist, but you may have to go out of state to find a deal like this one.

if you have to ask how much it is, you probably can't afford it. you either get what you want & pay, or just pay & get what's left over. insurance on my 98 cobra conv is a little over $1500/year. but hey, i'm an old fart!

Geez, you're only 20 years old. Get through college, save up, and buy a nice car.
