It doesn't even fit the definition of a narcotic. It's only schedule 1 because someone found out a bunch of dirty *** hippies were actually having a good time and there was no way tax revenue was coming out of it (aside from a treaty which didn't actually bind us to ****). The only reason it was even regulated prior to being scheduled was a bunch of racist BS put forth by a total nut job (W.R. Hearst) because he found out blacks and mexicans were smoking pot instead of using cocaine and that just couldn't be any good. Mix in the DuPont company which saw the immense market share that hemp fibres held as a market ordained by gawd to be theirs, through chemistry. He and they stirred up a froth in an unstable legislature, made a couple crappy propaganda flicks, greased some palms and bang the deed was done.
Before you call something the devil... at least look at it objectively.

Dictionary: narcotic
An addictive drug, such as opium, that reduces pain, alters mood and behavior, and usually induces sleep or stupor. Natural and synthetic narcotics are used in medicine to control pain.
A soothing, numbing agent or thing: “There was the blessed narcotic of bridge, at the Colony or at the home of friends” (Louis Auchincloss).
adj.
Inducing sleep or stupor; causing narcosis.
Of or relating to narcotics, their effects, or their use.
Of, relating to, or intended for one addicted to a narcotic
wasnt it you r3d who said it makes you happy and then sleepy and that you have to cycle it for tolerance? tell ya what...since its so awesome and great and not a narcotic....try puffin away on it while walkin past your neighborhood police station...lol

I'm totally with R3D on this one. As a fan of the herb (thank god I'm in Denver) I am not one bit slower than I was 5 years ago; if anything, sharper still. It does kill my "at the moment" memory but has no lasting effect.
As far as the grammar and such, I think people are just lazy. They mistype and do not correct it. They forget to punctuate and just don't want to fix it.
Don't blame it on pot..... IMHO, pot and shrooms are the only safe drugs out there.
I'd rather my kid tell me he did some shrooms and pot than drank a 40 and did some meth....or acid
of course, that's just my opinion; I could be wrong...

Better than just walking past the cop shop smoking it... I've been chillin on the steps with my boys up the street (in SF proper) just tokin away and have cops just stroll on by and even turn and make the little two fingers pinched to the mouth gesture with a grin.
It is not addictive. Your body doesn't become dependant on it. Can you build up a tolerance ... hellz yeah. I also have a tolerance for tylenol. I have to take like 8 of them to kill a minor headache. Because I've taken truckloads of tylenol for chronic migraines I have a resistance to it... my body won't take up as much cause it hates it. By the way t3h pawt STOMPS my migraines better than any opiate my doctor has ever given me. It's the only way I can be awake with a migraine and not vomit continuously sometimes.
K... I'll drop it now.

BUT, I did say that I have never used it. So while I said I don't see what all the hype is, I neither promote it nor break the law by using it.....that is a HUGE distinction.
I see nothing wrong with questioning something, vs outright breaking the law.
ALSO, I did state that I would not want my kids using it, so despite whatever law might change in the future, the law of my house prevails.
I also don't smoke and personally think that anyone who does is acting stupidly, but I also do not like laws which outright prevent it especially when they are not impacting anyone else directly.
I believe in the constitution.

I wouldn't call using "accept" rather than "except" a typo. It is just flat out not using the right word.Had you typed "acvept" or something like that, that is a typo. Just using the wrong word is not a "typo" it is just being grammatically incorrect. Just like in the opening post you said we should read our posts "outloud" that one is at typo.

Hey, read the original post. The whole point of this thread was to address posts that are so intelligible that you can't understand them, not to bust on a word here or there or even a punctuation infraction.
But, since YOU brought it up and are having fun with me, take a look at this:
1 - "flat out" should be hyphonated.
2 - You left out a comma after the word "typo".
3 - You used the word "that" twice in a row and did not use the correct punctuation.
And, you last sentence makes no sense. You might want to trying reading it "ouloud" and see for yourself.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

I will correct it for you. I found many more errors, so I just re-wrote the entire post so it would sound more intelligent, enforceful, and be more impactful.
(LOL)
I wouldn't describe using the word "accept" rather than "except" a typo in this instance. In fact, this appears to be an overt attempt to conceal an error that you made. Had you typed "acvept" or something similar, I would consider your error a "typo". Using an improper word would not be considered a "typo". Instead, this would be an instance of being grammatically incorrect. Just as you had indicated in the opening post, you should review your comments outloud before making a comment on the forum.

you spelled improper wrongg when you typed the correcsion....lol

Words that start a sentence are supposed to be in caps. Enforceful is a word if you use a hyphen (en-forceful). "Impactful" is most certainly correct as it stands.

making good use of those admin powers arent ya? well yeah you did type improper wrong before ya corrected it and butchered my poor defenseless post

you watched Family Guy tonight on TBS didnt you.
