New cell phone time
I'm going be upgrading my cell phone soon, possibly tomorrow even. I am liking the blackberry pearl. anyone have one of those? I have been using a motorola v-551, so even the pearl is a massive upgrade in phone tecjnology for me. the more I read about windows mobile, to more I learn it sucks.
4.6Love- you sell cell phones and pda's and such right? What would you recommend? I'll be renewing a contract with at&t so the phones are heavily discounted.

I was tempted to get the Black Jack II but it was a little to much and you had to purchase a unlimted data plan for the rebate.

Ive had the razor...i didnt like it only because of the ergonomics of it...flat buttons...but yeah it was functional as hell and basic, same software as I have on my current motorola v551
i want a more capable phone, but i dont want a PDA brick. thats why I was thinking blackberry pearl, its got nice features, but not a dizzying array as to be annoying. Its bigger than what i have, but not by much. no windows mobile also, a plus in my book.
I was liking the sony 580i, but no camera.

The new windows-based phones are much better. My wife has on a new Moto phone (and she loves it). Me? I tried one about 2 years ago and it sucked. I went back to a basic phone, though I am due for a new one.
If I were to get a BB, I would go with the Pearl. But, unless you need to be that much in touch with a job having one of these is a real waste of money if you ask me. Just an added expense. I get between 100 - 200 emails a day that are work-related.
I may end up just sticking with a phone again because I have an aircard for my laptop. While it is a bit more of a hassle to start up the PC, it is a lot more useful then trying to work off the phone. I think a BB would just drive me nuts.

blackberry curve! I have had mine since the day it was released and i love it! mine is with tmobile and it has the UMA piece that connects to my home network so its like VoIP but on your cell phone and all those calls dont count against your minutes. I have it hooked up to my wifi in our office as well. I get well over 700 emails a day for work so a BB is a must for me.

I was looking at that one...looks badass, but I think its far too much phone for my needs. the pearl is even has a tad more than i'd need I think.

lmao x's 2! me and my g/f are on my mom's plan(i got one and my g/f had this pay-as you go phone she paid like 30 dollars every 2-3 days .so i said screw it and got her a phone on my mom's line plan thing) me and her have free txting and etc. but anyway back to the reply lol. ive busted 2 cellphones already, well the first one the antenna f'ed up and then the 2nd one i just got pissed and snaped it in2 and this 3rd one is diff than the first 2 and seems to be working good. but the day i got it it kept doing some stupid **** and i bout threw it out of the truck window going 70 down a highway but then i threw it on the passenger floor. but omg my g/f has went through 2 of em too... first one it kept malfunctioning and couldnt see the phonebook and wasnt getting alerts for txts and wouldnt ring. then the 2nd one we had a fight and she slammed it down and the screen busted and the battery flew right past my head . i was like wtf. but the one she has now seems alright.

i think 90% of the people buy them because they want to go to the clubs and pull it out and look like a high roller gettiing an important memo from his people so girls will pay attention to him and hopefully he can get laid when in actuality it is an email from his mom telling him to clean up his room.
