Army Brat here, My wife is one too.. Fayetteville/ Ft Bragg. Wish i would have joined the military when I was 18, but got a factory job, and still working there today, Wife too, I'm happy to live right on the flight line of the C-130's and the C-17's, and plenty of Apache and Blackhawk action. I saw a KC-10 refueler cruising at about 30,000 ft yesterday. Got my attention. Plus all the impact zones are within 7 miles of my house. WAKE UP, when the use the big guns.. LOL,,

I enlisted in the Army @ 19 with an MOS of 12 Bravo (combat engineer). Done most of basic at Ft. Leanardwood Missouri (Ft. Lost in the Woods). Last day of week 5 of basic I fell out on a run (PT) DI came got all in my grill asking me... WTF is your problem Pvt.! WHy are you laying down on MY run?!! I got up ran another 50 feet or so and woke up in the Hospital 6 hrs later. After a bunch of freakin tests they told me I had asthma, and Im going home! I said no way in HELL. I dont (still dont) have asthma... im just a smoker! I had passed all previous PT tests and runs with flying colors and pretty easy too. I begged my CO to let me stay and prove myself but he wouldnt let me.

In the end Im glad as hell that happened. I would be in Iraq right now dealing with IEDs. Plus I got a good life now and have come to hate the US government. So if I was still in the Army I would be forced to be another tenicle for em!
