got this nice video camera but...
what do I use to get a large file sized vid down to sharable size without KILLING the picture quality? Is a super duper video editing program needed? I have the program that came with the camera...it turns a 1minute 50second 421MB AVI clip into a 19MB MPEG that looks like ****. I see ppl have vids that are over ten minutes long and are about 50-70MB or so...and they dont look bad. I shot a 14 minute clip and it was 3.98GB. anybody know what i need?

All version of Windows XP come with WMM, go to start->All Programs and look for Windows Movie Maker, if it's not in the main list it may be in Accessories.
All you do is open up WMM, drag and drop your clip into the window, put it in the timeline, and go to "Save Movie File," you can also add transitions/credits and title screens and stuff like that if you want to, as well as somewhat edit the clip itself.

yeah what pcola said. Also have you looked through the camera settings to see how it is writing the video the card or whatever. Alot of times you can change the format it writes in so it saves space. At least I can on my digital camera.
