what do you do? drive for the entire day, every day during the summer? wtf??

unless your job is driving your car...pizza delivery...why would you need to be driving it that much? you would be doing nothing but driving. just doesnt make sense. "busy" doesnt explain it.

I put $20 once week in unless I decide to mess around a bit. But my drive to work is only 8 miles both ways.. It all depends on how much your foot weighs. My mustang actually gets great mileage, if I drive it like a normal car and use my 5th gear after 45 mph...

$140 divided by 3 bucks a gallon = 46 and 2/3 gallons
46 and 2/3 gallons times 15 MPG = 700 miles a week
46 and 2/3 gallons times 20 MPG = 933 and 1/3 miles a week
46 and 2/3 gallons times 25 MPG = 1166 and 2/3 miles a week
700 miles a week times 50 weeks = 35000 miles a year
You must drive around a ton to be putting like 35000 miles a year on your car

being at college I don't drive much but on the weekends, so I seriously will have like $15 or so in gas last me like the month. I have been doing alot of off roading/mud bogging and what not with my friends, so we always take there trucks everywhere and I don't have to drive much.

Over the summer its usually about once a week sometimes every other week and then when I'm away at school I don't drive much up here so I can usually get away with once a month. Each fill up costs me about 30 bucks
EDIT: and by the way I can't imagine going through a full tank of gas everyday... so you drive like what 200 something miles a day thats insane!

I used to fill-up one of my cars about 4 - 7 times a week.....sometimes I would even fill-up twice in a day. Those days are behind me, so now I fill-up mine about 2 times every 10 days I guess and my wife about the same.
I used to routimely drive 200, 300, 400, 500 miles even in a day. I once did 1000 miles in two days for work which I think was my record...nothing to be proud of. I had some months where I drove over 6,000 miles and typically averaged 50 - 60k per year just on one car and my wife did about 30k on hers, plus the Mustang on the weekends.
I now have a 45 mile roundtrip commute.

I fill up every 5 days or so. I get about 240 miles on average on a full tank of gas. I drive about 48 miles a day with work and thats freeway and street mixed in.
I don't know why you would just put $10 in at a time.

W00t!
If you're burnin 10 bucks a day you may as well slap 30 bones in it twice a week and subject yourself to less pricing volatility. You'll save money in the long run.
I burn 15 bucks a week normally. 30 if I do like I did last night and race Ferrari's down Stanley.
