For the 2nd year in a row we have had a MAJOR Ice storm.Been without power since Sunday night untill about an hour ago.The whole town looks like a war zone right now.

 

Lol, it was about 75 degrees and sunny outside today.

Probably going to the beach tomorrow.

There are trees down everywhere here.I dont think any tree did'nt lose at least one limb.

well at its been raining hear in pa all week my mustang is dirty and the snow at the ski hill is melting this sucks!!!!!!!

 

that sucks. Ice storms FTL!

LANCE!! You must have gotten the brute end of the storm! I am at school here in warrensburg and its not that bad...i can still drive the stang without problems.

They were preparing to cancel finals but it was just too warm to freeze the ice and the butload of salt put down...i drove my car today and didnt even have to scrape the car off...no ice on it at all...just water

 

You obviously haven't lived here long.. It does ice and does snow here.. Not as much as other places.. This has been a freak year, usually we are down to 32-38* high and 18-25* lows.

 

i heard it's usually just about an inch or so of snow if it does, and ice storms here are like once every 10 years?

The crazy thing is that the roads were clear.No ice on them at all but the trees and power lines had about 1.5 inchs of ice on them.

 

The last time I went through a power failure/ice storm in Ibought a small electric generator and it has come in real handy. I hate winter

 

Hang in there man....I've seen the pictures on the news and I can't even imagine how crappy it is right now.

I learned during the last major storm we had so I went out and bought a generator. We were without power for 7 days, a generator only costs about $600 for a good one at local warehouse club.

 

I bought a Generator on Monday and had it wired into the breaker box the same day

I still have friends that have been without power for 5 days.

its a really nasty day in nyc today...snow is comin down like crazy...back in the old days when i had 2 mustangs i would be panickin right now but who cares about snow? i have my corolla now!!! i'm turnin in the plates for my mustang tomorrow and its down for the winter!!! that little friggin corolla rolls threw it like a snow mobile

 

yeah I was wondering how alot of you guys were handling this crazy weather with the ICE, I know a couple years ago we had some aweful ice here in SC, was without power for almost 4.5 days. I remember driving around at night and dodging tree's and power lines while looking for a gas station that had not run out of kerosene yet or the pumps havent been tapped out, or find a line that wasnt 20cars deep.

It was insane, hope you guys take care and try to stay warm!
