Default Child Leashes...what do you think?

I have 2 kids... if they can't mind and stay close then they get a flick in the back of the head and they know it's time to stay closer. If they were so unimportant to me that just a leash would do then I'd go ahead and let them smoke crack and drive chevy's and vote green party.

If you don't care about them enough to teach them to stay either close or out of trouble then don't take them with you. They already know where you stand. Leashing them is retarded and symptomatic of poor and/or disconnected parenting.

Well, I don't have kids but thats probably the easiest way to keep your kids next to you. I know when i was a kid I got lost like 300 times. Ha.

I don't know about that r3d, some kids just don't listen. My mom would kick my *** but if I saw a toy i liked or some sh*t, i'd walk away again. As a child your attention span sucks. haha.

if you were my kid you'd be one sore little sum-biatch.

Lucky you weren't raised by my family. They didn't give a damn. If you got lost they didn't even look for you for the first 3 days and then it was more just wondering if it worked this time and you'd not manage to return at all. Serious... we called it the "3 day rule".

not really sure, I found the pic on the net a while ago. But am positive it was invented by an over protective, H2 driving, helicopter soccer mom from suburbia.

I think in certain circumstances they're ok. My sister used one when she took my 4 year old nephew to the OU Mizzou game. That's a really easy time/place to lose a kid, regardless of how well they behave.

yeah i think they are ok in some cases. if you put one on your kid everytime you go out. then there is a problem. he/she needs to be disciplined well enough to listen to you and follow you. but on the other hand like he said about the game, our local games really do get out of hand and if you looked away from your child/he walked away for a minute then you would be in serious poop. in such case you could just follow the rope thing to him/her. haha

I don't know if you have seen it but there was a hilarious skit on Mad TV /Stuart a little while back about these leashes.

i think that ******* oughtta try paying attention and diciplining his nchild instead of ignoring him and using a leash or that child is going to grow into a freaking monster.

I never used a leash, but I am OK with it. Too many problems these days and some kids do have problems. Is it degrading for the kids? They don't seem to mind. At 18 months who cares? At 8, well, the kid is probably pissed.

Some places you go with kids are kids too crazy and I think it is a good option. I have has my kids hold my belt loop when walking in a crowed place....that is not much different. I have a neighbor with 4 kids. Two are twinsand are 6 years old. One is seriously handicapped...can't walk and can't talk. The twin has issues to....he is really tiny and has some development challenges. If they were mine, I would probably have him in a cage rather then a leash.

Like I said, we never used them, but I am OK with it.

I don't hunt either, but I am ok with those that do.

I don't know guys, I just really don't like these things. There might be some cases where they are OOOOOK, but in general I think they just suck on so many levels. I usually see some fat *** lady using these things and I just laugh cause I want to tell her not to punish her kid for liking to eat 12 packs of twinkies a day.

It seems like we have all these fancy gadgets for babies/ kids these days...it's amazing that any of us that were born in the 70's or before survived! Yeah technology is cool and can help, but some of it is overboard.

great now people are treating their kids like dogs. let's put a leash on them and drag them around like animals.

im sorry, but children just really shouldn't be allowed in public to begin with unless it's for clothing or shoes. the only place children need to go in public is church, school, or sports, family outdoor activities (camping, fishing and things in the wilderness where no one can hear them scream or cry or carry on).

other than that, people need to keep their damn kids at home.

i really hate when you go into a store, and some little bastard is bawling his eyes out cause he can't have a candy bar, and mommy's not mommy enough to get control of the little snot and make him shut his yap, and instead lets him scream and throw a fit.

if that was my kid, i'd blister his *** right there in the store. but that said, dont take your kids out, and you dont have to put a leash on them to begin with.

i hate kids

yep. my brother and I learned real quick not to make a scene out in public. i think i made that mistake twice, and i paid dearly for it. my *** hurt for like a week straight from my dad's belt, and i deserved every bit of it.
